Tesco misprice discussion area part 9

What could be useful is a list of stores that have honoured the R&R the way they should, as that way those of us still battling can claim they have already set a precedent.
Is there any chance those of you who have done okay, without a battle or otherwise I suppose, would mind posting a list of the stores who have applied the policy in your favour?0 -

I take it "obliging and helpful" you mean he told the store to do the R&R?0 -

If you did that they would know that it was a deliberate r&r!!!
Tell HO that you know that they have issued many r&r's on the consoles because someone in their office mentioned that they have had to pay out over £640,000 so far.
If they had an r&r, then please could you explain why I don't fall into that category.
Don't call it 'R&R' though, call it their 'refund and retain policy described on all their notices.

just bought Beautiful Child, stickered at 8.97, charged 9.97.
little hitler CS would only give me the £1 difference cos he said all the other books had the correct price on, and 'someone has obviously changed the sticker'.
Felt too embarrassed to argue the toss cos he was speaking to me in a loud voice and there were loads of people around.
Also, re the sirloin steaks, what happens if there are 2 SELs, one stating 12.87/kg and another one stating 10.87/kg? i tried to get these the other day but they argued i'd picked the wrong ones up. i tried to tell them it was illegal to display 2 different tickets for the same product and not honour the lowest priced one. Think this qualifies for a call to TS?0 -
Also should have said that I almost got an (unintentional) R&R on Carte D'Or Ice Cream. CS retrieved a label which stated the offer is on Vanilla, but I was sure the one I'd seen was unspecified. Went back in the store today and the promotion label I saw before has now gone - I wonder why? Next time I'll be accompanying the CSA! You live and learn!
Anyway, keep an eye out as there may be some other unspecified labels for Carte D'Or around.0 -

I know what you mean, but it doesn't state in the policy that you can't ask for the refund if you already knkew about it... one has nothing to do with the other imho.mcdonag wrote:Tell HO that you know that they have issued many r&r's on the consoles because someone in their office mentioned that they have had to pay out over £640,000 so far.

Thanks for those tipsI take it the £640k came from someone at Tesco?

That, my friend, is harrassment. I would have demanded someone in authority to speak to me. Then complain that you felt that you were accused of label tampering, which is a criminal offence, ask for their evidence.
It is a definate r&r, if someone else tampered with the sticker then you would see that the sticker had been removed and replaced, creases etc.
Suggest that maybe a member of staff made a mistake and put it on the wrong book.

It may give CS a wrong impression of you if you knew all the terminology, SEL, POS, R&R, etc. Just act dumb.
The 640k came direct from someone I spoke to in HO.
