I got 4 crates in 1 store and 6 bottles.. no problems. another crate and six bottles in another store (why i didnt stock up on the crates in that store i'll never know) then visted another few stores i picked up 6 bottles in each one. The Wkd offer was in all mostely every store so check in your nearest one! Also the one store didnt mark the receipt for the 6 bottles so will pop these back and get a refund later.. free £17.88!!

( Please feel free to move this to the discussion thread ) Did you just chance the purchase of the PS2 stuff with the knowledge that you could return the item or was there clues to tell you that the price would be wrong ?

Good god some people love their job too much.

My story:

Went to get Xbox 360 at one store - were just changing posters - shoulda got there a bit earlier. No big deal though - so on way back went to another store.

Now there they had the correct poster up, BUT by the two blue "Game of The Week" boxes - two copies of Dead Rising (GOTW should be Ninety Nine Nights). So bought this paid then said £20 discount should have come off. The CS woman (v nice) went to check got it confirmed - offered me discount and then I pointed out policy.

Then she said I was right she tried getting managers down (took ages, in fact the whole thing took ages - took 45 mins to get my hands on the console int he first place!) and the manager said free game - no way on 360. I asked to call Head Office - he said ok - he called up then got transferred. Tried twisting the story and trying to convince the HO person but HO person was saying it should be full RnR on whole thing (managers face was classic!).

BUT THEN - someone who had just arrived thought they would check out offer for themselves and brought back poster and switched the games round. Effectively accused me of changing it myself - got annoyed so they were quick to say "oh no we didn't mean that".

Anyway tried my best talking to the HO guy but got nowhere - free game was best I could get. My RnR slipped away right before my eyes! Stupid woman who loves her job too much!!!

Win some lose some - but was so close!

Now - I have an RnR on the game - any chance of taking back the console on its own to another store?

been on the lookout for a while for any r & r's (months infact) began giving up then got my first, some lillies the other day. Just by chance had a peep at the ps2's xboxes etc yesterday, saw resevoir dogs game of the week with ps2, saw yellow £20 off,which expired yesterday and guessed it had to be worth a shot, saw last silver ps2 box and just went to checkout, said something like can you just tell me the price of these as i cant see it anywhere she said sh'ed have to get someone to take them off if i didnt want them, but went through without discount so paid and went to collect from cs, where the fun really began!:rotfl:

I think I'm getting to grips with this lark Best to look out for the yellow out of date stickers then ? Or if the GOTW has a white sticker then you stand a chance too ?

Just take it back to the same store and say that you can't afford it. It should say on receipt that your game was free so they won't ask 4 that.

Have they changed the wording on the posters since last week? This weeks poster says GOTW <title> £10 off when purchased with a console.

Did it say the same last week? If it was, I'm amazed anyone got a free xbox/ps2/ds out of it!

I concur and so did most of the store managers, but ultimately it must have been misleading as many of us got the whole bundle free from exactly the same wording.

Lets look at it another way.

If Shampoo is on BOGOF you need to purchase Bottle1 and Bottle2 to get the deal. If the deal doesn't go through then what happens?
