Tesco misprice discussion area part 9

hi all,

Long time no see, I've just got back from two weeks in the Sun.

Had a quick browse of the 2 Tesco threads and it appears that Xbox 360s are still being R&Rd, am I right?

If so, could I echo myrtle's question please as I saw an Xbox360 bundle last night at a local Tesco with a discount for the GOTW, which was successful for me to get my PSP. I can't remember what the game was for the life of me though,s omething with 4 words in the game IIRC....anyway The tills were busy and didnt want to test it by scanning (and my mrs was hungry!)....btw has anyone else had the Tesco till staff start telling them they wont do a price check then void it for you?

No new GOTW signs up in my local Tesco, still the old posters (that don't show the £20 off anyway).

I'd love to get hold of one of these, it would make the Christmas strain that much easier. That said, I'm never lucky with this sort of bargain!

You never know til you try! half the problem is finding a store to do it in anyway, I visited 8 stores yesterday! (no I didnt have anything better to do) but it resulted in a PS2+Game and a Nintendo DS game plus nearly 400 points onto my clubcard (through failed attempts at R&R but points not taken off when refund given)

Could have got a trolley full of Rib roast beef at one of the stores too but didnt wanna rock the boat as I was trying to get a DS (and have a freezer full of rib roasts and steak anyway :rotfl: )

So is the Nintendo DS+Game also not discounting then? I hadn't spotted that in the thread.

No it was an error on my behalf, I got a bit too excited and didnt look at the poster properly, it was Super mario world that was GOTW and I went and got Mario Kart. But I did complain that the poster was a bit misleading and asked if they had any copies of super mario (which obviously they hadnt) and got told they hadnt had any for ages so I told them I thought it was out of order them advertising a deal that they couldnt provide but it didnt get me anywhere.

I dont like to cause too much of scene in case I want to use the same store again (where I WILL be in the right next time)

Sorry to be dense and apologies if it has been covered earlier on, but if there is a poster up from last week, can you still claim the R&R?

I would expect they'd say that as the poster has an expiry date you can't claim it, but I'm getting the impression that isn't the case from some posts?

Yeah I forgot to add, finding a store with the right poster is the easy part, but finding one with the poster and corresponding game being in stock is another! (hence visiting 8 stores)

Oh yeah, got a fistfull of 5p off a litre of fuel vouchers too! :rotfl: (They NEVER ask for them back even if they take off your points)

I could be wrong but I dont think they have an expiry date, just a "week commencing" date so have a good look
