One manager said to me today...If I give you a full refund on this, then you wont be welcome back in the store again.......How childish can you get???......
It is for exactly this reason i would only attempt small items at my local. Can live without the others - as long as i dont get banned from them all! lolThere's nothing wrong with me a little chocolate won't fix! Or sweets - not fussy really!0 -

Any person who goes out R&Ring "plays the game" and is hoping that they will be successful in their prize. No one should be asked "not to play" just incase someone else wants to play later. Timing is of the essence after all.
Also think of the senario if no-one played in that store, shockeroonee, lol,
no offence intended to anyone
It's not just Mcdonag doing this, by the way. Mcdonag isn't even anywhere near as bad as some people on this thread (and the people I'm thinking of are relative newbies to MSE and R&Ring). If, as you say, it's just a game and it's whomever gets there first, then maybe we should close the discussion and misprices threads right now? After all, what is the point of either thread if we're going down the "selfish" route. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

No take it back there and then. You don't have to give a reason but I just say that I have changed my mind or my wife has changed it for me!!!

Been in a few stores today from Manchester to Glasgow,,,,,,,found in most of the stores that the "buy console with GOTW and get £20 off" had been removed......annoying as the discount probably wouldnt have come off.....but there was no SEL or notice to say it should......The only ones I saw with an offer were the PS2 one, and the GOTW had a yellow SEL on it.....so possibly would have discounted.........0

I witnessed an event today that we talked about the other night....I was waiting in the queue at CS when the girl in front of me appeared to be retrieving a lost Credit Card.
The CS lady made her sign some form, then asked her if she had a Club Card....The lady gve her, her clubcard, and the CS lady said "I'll just get your details up on the screen"
I couldnt see what came up on the screen, but she printed off a slip of paper with the woman's name and full address on it and compared it to the address she had left on the form she filled in to get her Credit card back..........
I now know for certain that all your details(you have given them on your application) can all be "got at" through your Club Card....and by someone as far down the chain as Store CS Assistant.........Where's DPA0 -
MyUserNamesTaken wrote:Having been a long term poster on both MSE and on this thread, I think I am entitled to give my opinion on this subject. Mcdonag knows that he frequents the same stores as me. He knows that if he attempts to get an Xbox from each store, he stops me from getting one in any store. This is meant to be a community. As such, we're supposed to help each other out, not say "I'm all right, Jack...". This is my point. What we're seeing from some people on here is greed, pure and simple. If you've got an Xbox 360, why do you need another one? If you're doing it for the money, think about those who don't have one and would dearly love one, but who cannot try for one as you've already been to all their local stores and tried it. If you read the post I quoted from Mcdonag, you'll see that even though he has had managed to get an R&R on one Xbox 360 and a double refund on another, he says he is going to try for more. This, to me, is selfish. Sorry, Mcdonag, but that is how I see things.

I think anybody is entitle to their opinions however long they have been posting. I can see both sides of the arguements. We shouldn't be greedy, but can see the temptation. If I see something posted on here that I need I rush out ASAP. For example the selections boxes. I a pile that I need for Christmas and won't try to get anymore from the other Tesco's stores in the area. Lets all chill0 -

Calm down, and be friendly, (you being a long term poster on both MSE and on this thread shouldnt need a relative newbie like me to tell you that)
Can i just point out that contrary to the belief that some people hold on here R&Rer's do exist outside MSE and just because you know its happened because you've read it here, doesn't mean that other people from the outside MSE world aren't doing it also.
No one here is being selfish, after all they have posted the details of their R&R's to allow us all the opportunity to gain the same.
It seems apparent to me that this issue has arisen because its for a high value item that we would all love to "capture" but when it's one pack of pork chops or ten no-one is bothered however when it is one Xbox, a PSP, and a Nintendo DS thats when it really does make a difference, to some people.
I think fair play to everyone who is successful in every R&R from the smallest to the largest, gained once or over and over again.:T
As stated previously no offence intended.pinkpinkfizz
