Further to my post of yesterday re Xbox.
Bought xbox for £199.xx along with GOTW yesterday, CS gave me the wireless xbox by mistake!!!
Decisions decisions. Did the right thing and declared that I had been undercharged by the tune of £80.
CS declared that it was very rare for someone to be so honest.
Thanked her then told her that after all that, I have now been overcharged by £20!!!
Explained to her that the GOTW discount didn't come off, she called the manager and said that "This poor chap, isn't having much luck today, first he was undercharged now he has been overcharged". Manager said that as I was so honest in the first place could I come back tomorrow, she was going to speak to HO and see what they could do to rectify the problem.
Went this morning, was given full R&R plus a £40 Moneycard as a reward for my honesy and inconvenience for travel costs.
Got home with my new xbox to find a letter of apology from HO for a previous R&R problem with another Moneycard this time for £15.00. Called HO to say thanks but £15 wasn't good enough as the manager of the store had already offered me free games totalling £57+. I was put through to another person and after explaining my case he told me that this would end in my favour, he will call back in 10 mins or so.
HO call me back as promised and said that I was to go to tescos in my local area and pick up a free xbox with current GOTW and get a refund for the psp that I bought 2 weeks ago.
Good day all in all. 2 wireless XBoxes and a PSP for nowt and £55 in Tesco Moneycards to buy anything I like. Total £843.88. I can feel a drink coming on.

Copied over from other threadCoupon-mad wrote:So many meat misprices around, I don't know if this one has been posted already:
(On an end aisle) 'Tulip' Smoked bacon back rashers are on BOGOF. The offer works, but the smoked rashers have a separate SEL @ £2.79 each (and the unsmoked are £2.89 each). Pick up the smoked ones, they scan at £2.89 (then BOGOF works but you can still get R&R for the 10p misprice).
In Tesco language, it seems a meat BOGOF = buy them, get them both free!
I impressed this one is still around coupon-mad. i posted this one the end of august and we're still enjoying our bacon butties from it.:DWho made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Does anyone know why the Midlands stores have removed the Xbox/PSP plus GOTW offers?
Well I know why (!) but have the majority of stores done this or am I just unlucky?0 -

This GOTW deal is only availble incertain stores I take it? I'm tempted to nip up to Tescos now and see what i can find0

ben500 wrote:She's full of it, it's everything to do with them and nothing to do with the supplier Tesco and Tesco alone are responsible for getting the price of every single item in the store right and don't let anyone tell you differently.
It wasnt like she was trying to get out of the R&R she was just saying thats probably how the price was wrong, apparently the suppliers are the ones that put the prices on the games (or so she said) doesnt bother me one way or the other, still got the R&R and thats all that matters!Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
MyUserNamesTaken wrote:Ohhh...I know what you're talking about. For example, the PS2 GOTW has no yellow sticker (Lego Star Wars II) in my locals. If you buy a PS2 and that game, no discount will come off and you will have been overcharged. Guess the same works on the XBox 360 if there's no yellow label on Test Drive Limited or whatever the game's called. The games change tomorrow, by the way. Also, a PC went off offer today, so look out for it (it was £599 yesterday, on offer until the 13th). One more thing - Buffalo wireless modem router also went off offer today.
I got one of those Pc's today,(before seeing your post) but it still went through at the £599.960 -
Hi all!
I'm new to this site, join a few weeks back and have been an avid reader ever since. I knew nothing about r+r until mcdonag enlightened me 2 weeks ago. Up till yesterday hadnt had much luck with it £4.97 dr who book and £1.92 when 2 for £1.50 offer didnt work on cookies BUT i have made up for it now! Big time! I went to 2 local stores as i had a day off work and fancied a little free shopping! But i had no luck in 1 store spotted genesis cd sticker 8.97 sel 12.97 went through till at higher price but SA noticed grrr! In another store had an r+r on a book torey hayden beautiful child sticker 8.97 sel 9.97. but i felt a little dissapointed i didnt get anything else. So i decided to visit another store a little further out that i have never been to before. Well, i spotted an out of date poster for xbox and game of the week, stating it is saint row. Thought i'd give it a go but didnt expect for 1 second i would get away with it! But i did! First CS lovely lady told me i had wrong game it should have been prey. I said "no poster said saints row", she said "come with me, let me show you", she did, so i pointed to poster and said "this says saints row, buy this game and xbox 360, get £20 discount", she said "oh yes so it does" and removed poster, she went off to have a go at a lady working on that section (oops) and i went back to CS. She came back little while later and said "sorry i will get your £20 for you now" I said " £20?!" she asked what i was expecting, i told her while i was waiting for her to come back to me i had noticed their policy and believed i was entitled to a full refund, she went off again, came back and told me she would refund the game and i could keep it. I said this was not acceptable i had bought both items together to get the discount so i had been overcharged for both items. She went off again and came back about 20 mins later apologising that shed been so long as she had to see the manager to authorise the refund as it was so large!! couldnt believe how easy it was! She was still smiling as she refunded me £319.97! I'm still walking on air! There's nothing wrong with me a little chocolate won't fix! Or sweets - not fussy really!0
