I've found that sometimes when it comes up with "Contact A Member Of Staff", you just need to scan it again immediately afterwards & hey presto, the price is displayed. Hope this helps :)

Ihad heard that and tried it but it kept coming back up with the same message.....

so, am i correct in saying that if there are no yellow sel stickers on the game visible the current game of the week will not be part of the bundle. or do i wait til tomorrow when the game changes so that the game is from an old poster.

    still getting very confused.

    thanks

If you do it from an old poster then you will more than likely have a big fight on your hands. Besides fost of the posters actually say 'GOTW *****. Save £20 if bought with a console'. This effectively says the discount is off the game so you will only get the game free if the offer does not work.

It seems Tesco can't get things right, as a retail store manager for years (not Tesco but various other companies, also not anymore!) if an issue occurred the first thing I'd do (which rarely EVER happened) is check me whole store to prevent any further issues.

I cant understand why Tesco continue to misprice - employ a member of staff to check prices for goodness sake, although it is to customers benefit that they are making mistakes!

They actually employ a whole department in each store - Price integrity department - and yet they still overcharge.

    Amazing really, but good!

Sorry, I noticed your comment about being a store manager and just wanted to probe your thoughts on the whole R+R thing. If you were a Tesco manager, and you noticed the same customers coming back time and time again for R+R, what would you do in that position I mean as a store manager to try and prevent these loses?. Would banning customers from a store be the correct way to deal with it, would you consider doing that? even though they werent technically breaking any laws or policies. What do you think?
  • Is it best to buy the goods then come back the day after.

I've assumed it would seen as too cheeky to buy at the till and then walk straight over to CS

If you wait until the next day, there is a chance that the SEL or whatever was wrong could have been fixed. Just walk on over or go out to the car park for 5 mins and then come back.
What did I do at work before I discovered MSE?!

DFD - WAS: a while ago

NOW - not sure, due to boyfriend going back to uni for masters and now pgce. Worth it in the long run!

I now teach customer service, retail and management and have to cover laws and legislation in each. It is a big media thing on Tesco's part to instill customer confidence implying that they'll never overcharge you... but if the mistake WAS ever made then they'll compensate the customers. This gives 'false hope' as its apparent from this thread that there are a large amount of overcharges occurring. Customers feel that they are getting treated well when they receive their refund and replacement, but if things were done properly this wouldn't be necessary!

If I noticed a customer coming back time and time again, no I wouldn't ban them, I've got no reason to, although I'd like to! At the end of the day the customer would be getting one up on me and I'd hate it that I was incompetent. I may feel like banning people but unless they have been rude and/or abusive its a little childish and petty. At the end of the day some people notice that they have been overcharged and then claim in accordance with company policy, the only way to prevent it is to be efficient and ensure that your pricing and POS is in line with company policy, which at the end of the day is YOUR responsibility as a manager.

I have to say that I would be annoyed if people were getting one up on me so I'd be extra vigilant, simple as that - then I'd be the one getting one up as it would be far more satisfying watching the 'regular' scouer the store looking for R&R's that won't work!!!:A
:happylove !!NEW AND JUST LEARNING!! :happylove
  • I personally just go to the CS straight away that way there is no way they can accuse you of any underhanded ways. Also I do this anyway even if it is a suprise overcharge.

I think just because it's a known R&R people can feel a little awkward, although just imagine what you would do in a normal situation. :D I hope that made some sense
Mummy to 5 beautiful girls and yes it is very hard work lol x :o

Every day on the misprices only thread there seems to be at least four with meat being priced wrong

Do people have huge freezers just full of free meat?
