Tesco misprice discussion area part 9
Comments
-
Just got back from Tescos. Managed to get the selection boxes, much to the disgust of C/S. No posters with offers for any gaming kit, no mention of game of the week, nothing. I also noticed that there are hardly any sel's on CD's or DVD's. In fact there are no individual price labels on any of the boxes, just big red security stickers on everything. Only one big poster stating from £6.97. Unable to determine prices to check for misprices. Scanners are not working. Is it legal not to put prices on things, just a sign stating from £6.97?0

Can i just point out that contrary to the belief that some people hold on here R&Rer's do exist outside MSE and just because you know its happened because you've read it here, doesn't mean that other people from the outside MSE world aren't doing it also.
No one here is being selfish, after all they have posted the details of their R&R's to allow us all the opportunity to gain the same.
It seems apparent to me that this issue has arisen because its for a high value item that we would all love to "capture" but when it's one pack of pork chops or ten no-one is bothered however when it is one Xbox, a PSP, and a Nintendo DS thats when it really does make a difference, to some people.
I think fair play to everyone who is successful in every R&R from the smallest to the largest, gained once or over and over again.:T
As stated previously no offence intended.
I disagree with you in that you think no-one here is being selfish. I think some people are being incredibly selfish. It's one thing to post about an R&R you've managed to get. It's an entirely different kettle of fish to post about an R&R you've already got and then go on to say that you're going to try all the other stores in your area for the same R&R. You say they post to benefit others in their quests for R&Rs. Again, I disagree. Some people here post in order to gloat. (Not aimed at you, Mcdonag.) I think it is selfish clearing out an entire region of a certain product (regardless of the cost). I know for a fact Mcdonag tried most of my local stores, as he posted saying that he had. Now that he has been successful in getting more than he wanted, I think it would be nice if Mcdonag left the other stores alone in relation to that particular item in order to let others have a chance. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

I'm being quite formal, but not unfriendly. Would you care to show me a single post on this thread that backs up your claim that some people on here believe that R&Ring only happens as a result of this thread? See, that's another assumption on your part. I knew about R&Ring before I joined MSE (way back in 2004). I have yet to see anyone post to this thread stating anything like what you've suggested (assumed) in your post.
Enough said on this subject.:shhh: ... Back to what this is all about R&Ring and the joys of doing so
happy hunting :Tpinkpinkfizz

If you get banned from a store, you are only banned from that particular store. You can still go to any other Tesco store in the country (and Calais).

They aren't supposed to. However, if you get a nice CSA, they will.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

If it is an item that can only be purchased from Tesco and you have no receipt then the 'should' give you an exchange as long as it is in the same condition as when you bought it. If it can be bought from a number of places then you are relying on the person to agree you definately got it there. You should be fine for an exchange but there is always a chance that they could say you got it elsewhere. Take it in a Tesco bag as this will add to the authenticity. hope this helpsPlushchris wrote:So does nobody know if they will exchange goods without a receipt?:happylove !!NEW AND JUST LEARNING!! :happylove0

I forgot to add that they won't normally exchange games or cds that have been opened (due to copyright issues). They think that if you've opened it, you could have copied it, etc, etc.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
