Thanks for your help, i can but try, seems clear to me they are in the wrong but whether theyll see it that way, i see people are increasingly getting problems with xbox 360 purchases and getting refunds, what do you think my chances are?

The opposite has seemed to be the case from what I have read here... those that were declined the R&R at first have mainly been given the full refund, begrudgingly, in the end. But only where they have stood their ground and kept hold of the xbox (not rushed to get a normal refund). Possession has been seen to be nine-tenths of the law, in these cases.

But don't mention anyone else's case when you phone up, remember that a 'normal' customer (non-MSE, lol!) would not know that ANYONE else had had a similar problem. Be prepared to write, snail-mail recorded, to Sir Terry Leahy (address on page 1 of this thread), not just phone/email.

  • No offence meant Constantine I am sorry, I was just trying to pick your brain for info.

None taken. Just to clarify -

It is not possible for store staff to bring up history on items purchased on a specific club card. At all. Ever. For any reason. There is not even a secret number to call and get the information. It does not exist. There is no secret web site.

Big brother is watching you, but not on this occasion ;)
Who or what was I before you came in to my life
    I am not sure

    2 points,

[I wonder if it is possible that the Store manager has been having a major discussion about you with Tesco HO? I wonder if HO tipped him off to have a look on MSE and find your posts, maybe they were discussing if you may have been trying to scam them (I am not saying you were at all BTW).

Reading between the lines I think this may have been what has happened, someone at HO may have looked up all the info they could find on you, including your Clubcard details, to try to get out of the R&R. When they could not find anything tangible they have obviously decided they have to give you the R&R but decided to try to intimidate you so you may be put off a hat-trick of xboxes?
    .

Thank you Coupon mad. No I didn't know that Constantine was a manager, wish she was in one of my locals as she is always seemed a voice of reason when I have been lurking here in the past.

You managed to put things much better than me. But it was kinda what I was trying to say as well, but didn't explain it as clearly. Unfortunately I went off on a tangent to explain other things as well....:o
    Hello :j  :j
  • Madwelshmam how on earth have you amassed that amount of clubcard points, thought i'd done well with mine due to the extra points on the toiletries.

:rotfl: I've only just started posting here after seeing WW3 and flaming take over and cause melt down on the Tesco loyalty forum last week, and think I have been missing my Tesco conspiratory therory fixes as a result...

I enjoyed that forum since last year...

Marvellous tips on points collecting on TLF and Paid to Shop sites (new site by ex TLF mods)..

Myself its H&B, till spits, coupon swapping, and lots of phones.... I actually haven't managed to use any extra online codes that weren't mine either this time. And I'm still waiting for another 8000 to credit from wine and phones.

Tesco will give you 300 points a phone and you can get bricks from carboots for around £1-£2, which gives you £12 in deals. :T

I forgot to say that I also got an extra 1000 points from HO after my first little R&R was handled terribly!!!

I also use that forum, but missed all the action last week. What happened?

I take it you have multiple clubcards then? As you can only use the phones five times I thought or is there a workaround for that one?

Any more tips on would be much appreciated.

    (Every Little Hurts!)
  • No offence MSE has been a wonderful site to lurk but can be very rough waters to post into...

So I think I'd better actually answer any points collecting Q's on the tesco codes thread or someone here may decide to remind me gently  that this is the misprices thread :silenced:

    Hello :j  :j
  • Hello everyone,

I've been told about this site by someone in another forum, and, well what can I say, it seems a fantastic site, to say the least. I've spent the last two days reading the threads on this site and thought I should quickly register.

Anyway, can anyone please tell me how do I spot a mispriced item in Tesco?
I've been trying to grasp as much information as I can, but I'm not completely sure how to go about it.

I'm in Huddersfield. Does the Tesco in Huddersfield have an R&R policy? If not, which is the nearest one that has this policy?

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards
