No joy with this wine im afraid. Had a price check for 6 bottles at the tills and was coming up as full price (£23.94) but to my dismay the 5% discount was applied at the end. Still got some good clubcard points and 5p off petrol. Is there any way of checking a multi-buy without going to the tills? The price checker will only give the price of the single item, ignoring mutil-buy discounts....any ideas?0 -
Adding to my story so far in the book it does say in the book
Prices are correct at time of going to press. For the most up-to-date prices, ask in store or go to www.tesco.com

Different tescos have different policies it looks like.. even tho this is completely wrong. I bought two mobiles with and out of date POS and the one branch said no the POS is out of date, so i went up to another store and asked what they would have done and the Manager said "Definately an overcharge.. the POS is out of date but we left it up!" rung HO and they state that the pos is out of date so no overcharge. Have noticed other people have had r&r on this same deal tho!0

I had a full R&R on the motorola SLVR, leaflets were left up all around the store! I would state I bought it as the offer was a tempting invitation, I didn't have my glasses on to inspect tiny print, and the price you saw was the price you expected to pay! I was offered the difference first off, but then pointed at the refund policy, and was told, fair enough!
edited my spelling, looked like I'd been on the pop!!Sig ah Sig Ahhh0 -
Alright I did it - went to the Tesco near office to check whether there will be any joy with the xbox offer supposed to be ending on the 21st. it seems they have extended it to the 28th of Sept. But there was a yellow SEL saying that £20 off with the GOTW. So went for it and voila - was overcharged. Went back to customer services and after running about a bit the store manager came over and said that it was an over charge and they he was going to refund the £20 which I of course refused and I asked for full refund. He refused saying that this is not an overcharge but a problem with the display box barcode so he can only refund the £20. he even said that somebody had tried this a week and a half back and that tesco was aware of this error and that he will not refund the full amount. So took his name and came back.
Unfortunately, my phone battery is dead and I cant call HO. So am going to draft an email to customer service. Would greatly appreciate any tips that you can give me to include in the email.

Think you have it in the bag fat_wallet!
Well done for perseverence, see also my previous post if you do get into any discussion on this item. If it's an 'Autumn' leaflet and the website is also at the lower price I can't see how the instore price was ever offered at the lower price.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

A problem with the display box barcode!!! Hahaha!!. Yet another utterly ridiculous attempt at wriggling out. That's one of the most creative lies I've heard yet.
In response to your question, I'd just politely set out the facts and request a full refund in accordance with their policy. Threaten to go to Trading Standards and Advertising Standards Authority.Riyazi wrote:he even said that somebody had tried this a week and a half back and that tesco was aware of this error
So they decided to carry on overcharging people...0 -

It will be far easier to charge your phone back up and call as emails can take an age to get answered0
