CS at first refused to do anything, claiming that this sort of decision is 100% down to the store and there was nothing they could do. After a little pushing he apologised and said he'd refer me to the specialist psp team.Success, was called back by the lovely Joanna who says she'll sort it out with the store and arrange for me to obtain my refund on the way home today.
good isn't it. Just out of interest what line did you take when "pushing" him to deal with it rather than him try to answer more calls and put your down as a "satisfied by him" customer (another problem with bonus schemes)0 -
hi, I'm VERY new to R&R, only heard about it this week (so apologies if I'm posting this in the wrong place). Where can I find a beginners guide to r&r-ing? I've read the first post but I'm still confused. thanks for all replies._________0

Richie23 wrote:So me getting £300 r&r's a few times and other refunds want be a problem as i'm tempted to stop doing it all as scared of getting the police knocking at the door.
The other night two people parked by my house and put jackets and and started walking towards the house, my heart was in my mouth as had a spare room full of tesco bags which are filled with books, alcohol, selcetion boxes, games etc.
I thought i was gonna be raided.haha
had a dream last night that when i was in tesco getting another refund they used this machine to print out my statements and kept them and had over 100 pages off refunds!!
Think i'm sufferring from Tescoextraritus...
Richie,
Seriously, stop worrying. You are not doing anything wrong or illegal. You have nothing to worry about. You are merely playing Tesco at its own game by using the policy whenever you are overcharged. Tesco could avoid this by making sure the stores did not overcharge in the first place. The fact that you have received a lot of refunds highlights just how often you are being overcharged. It shows up the incompetence of the individual stores. The stores are committing offences, not you.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

W H Smith's, Amazon? £10.99. If you can't get to either of them, then I am willing to email you a copy for, let's say, a fiver.
Saw one in Tesco yesterday: SEL £7.97 - scanning at £10.97

Fantastic!
How long did they take to phone you back?
I phoned at 10:15 and still haven't heard anything back yet.
I can guarantee they'll phone when i'm on lunch0 -
I just heard back about my compaint to the ASA about Tesco Capri Sun promotion - the strawberry and Vanilla flavour isnt included in the ofer although the signs dont say this and the manager refused a refund.
ASA say it is a clear breach and they have told Tesco to change their posters ASAP. If they do not do this then a formal case will be issued and published resulting in bad publicity, and all Tesco POS will have to be pre-vetted by the ASA. I also got a written apology and giftcard from Tesco, stating that the manager who refused me will be reprimanded.
I love it when a plan comes together.0 -
It can take a while. I waited all day yesterday for mine to be resolved. They have to contact the store manager and if he is unavailabe it can take a bit longer but I am sure they will ring you today0

I just stuck by my guns and carried on adding bits of info. I said that the manager refused to abide by your advertised R&R policy, he said 'managers have authority to override it'. So I explained that its an advertised policy and must be upheld, and there must be an official procedure for dealing with decisions by store management that you don't agree with. He also seemed slightly more receptive once I mentioned (for the second time) it was a PSP problem. I threw in a few more bits, stayed completely calm and purely informational.0 -

Brilliant! A great result. It would be a mammoth task for the ASA to pre-vet ALL POS! Maybe they'd charge Tesco for the high costs of having to do this?0 -
