Tesco misprice discussion area part 9

Re my post earlier about bonus schemes.
One thing I would think about if I owned all of Tesco (I do actually own some of it). I would change the policy so that every customer was given a free envolope and form to fill in when they got home to say if they were happy with how they were treated for the refund. Any complaints that the manager had not treated them well would see that the amount in question is added to his/her store losses.0 -
I tried for the PSP last night at 2 extra stores too - I genuinely wanted to buy the bundle for OH's birthday, but would have been even sweeter if I could have got it on R&R.
Although both stores had the posters up, one was out of stock on the consoles and the other didn't have the games
The cynic in me thinks they may have been removed from sale...
The store nearest me (not an extra) doesn't ever display the posters advertising console + GOTW discount deals. I guess that's how they hope to avoid having to do big r&rs0 -
So me getting £300 r&r's a few times and other refunds want be a problem as i'm tempted to stop doing it all as scared of getting the police knocking at the door.
The other night two people parked by my house and put jackets and and started walking towards the house, my heart was in my mouth as had a spare room full of tesco bags which are filled with books, alcohol, selcetion boxes, games etc.
I thought i was gonna be raided.haha
had a dream last night that when i was in tesco getting another refund they used this machine to print out my statements and kept them and had over 100 pages off refunds!!
Think i'm sufferring from Tescoextraritus...0 -

Which bit do you own? Is it a customer service desk?
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

I'm very rarely asked for my details but have been sorely tempted to ask if I'll get a thank you letter for identifying a problem in their pricing0 -
I too got the PSP and game yesterday and the £10 did not come off. To cut a long story short, electrical manager refused to R&R...even said "there is no way I am refunding him on that" and said to CS woman just refund him. So I have been refunded (and they have the game and PSP back) but have the receipt here proving I was overcharged and I am now waiting for HO to call me back. It is a blatent overcharge but the way they were trying to get out of it yesterday was unbelievable. She said the overcharge policy only applies to misprices and this was a "promotional error"! Yeah, right.....The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)0

I cant find the xbox or the psp listed on the tesco.com website. The last time I was at the store I noticed that the 279.99 price for the xbox was to expire on the 21st. Anyone know what the new price would be now ? Or whether they have extended the offer ?I have learnt that living life to the fullest gives you a much better high than alcohol or drugs !0

I saved a lot of money giving you those R&R's. Your actually doing me a favour by doing it. The managers on the other hand are being hit with a swift kick in the bonuses. Take it from me as a Tesco share holder I love the fact that you do R&R and would hate it if you were the type to report every error to TS and ASA.
Of course I like to help out HO occasionaly by finding a few myself!0 -

Remember, you are doing nothing illegal. It is Tesco that is breaking the law, not you.
You are merely helping them out and preventing them from getting fined by TS by notifying them of an overprice, which enables them to take the appropriate action to ensure that they don't overcharge for that product in the future. Their reward to you, for that nugget of information, is a full refund and they offer you the product free of charge.
It is Tesco that is offering you the product free of charge for pointing out the overcharge. You are not robbing them, they are giving it to you.
I see it as that I am providing Tesco with a service and my salary for that is anything that I find overpriced. A good salary too as I am on over £2,600 per month at the moment. If I were to sell the stuff on then I guess that I would be on double that but usually I give the stuff away to people who genuinly would benefit from the items, ie. Youth Clubs for consoles and games, Hostels for bulk food purchases, Romanian Shoebox appeal for H&B etc and of course, friends and family.
And my reward for this is a free holiday to Florida every year using the Clubpoints!!
If you look at it this way and convince yourself that you are providing a service, I am sure your nightmares will stop.

Success, was called back by the lovely Joanna who says she'll sort it out with the store and arrange for me to obtain my refund on the way home today.
Fantastic!0
