  • I'm not a they, but I could be by the time I get through the nice bar of Cadbury Whole Nut at my side

And no, don't expect comment on service recieved from me. Would not help very much I think.

Did you have the dodgy POS up in your store, Constantine? If so, did anyone try for a PSP?

Tried a phone with voucher tonight, the discount didn't come off (big poster was still up) guy at CS desk had a look at the poster and went to find a manager, he came back with 2 managers and all 4 of use checked the poster. They tried to claim that that all I should get is a £20 refund, I asked about the 'price policy', the manager(s) told the CS guy to ring HO. He did but they were closed. Took the phone home and will ring HO/CS myself tomorrow. If they still refuse the R&R will I be able to get a refund on the air time voucher ?

The poster was still up btw, even after 3 staff (inc 2 'managers') had looked at it.

    HaHa! Classic!

Sorry constantine, no insult meant - I don't know if you are male or female, Constantine was a Roman Emporer, but that's my sum total of knowledge on the name.

Your input on here is always helpful, the same was/is true of tars and spa2k.

Have you ever heard of a manager agreeing to a full refund then snatching the product back?

Constantine was also a comic book hero who fought evil nasties... They made a film based on the comics quite recently, starring Keanu Reeves.

  • Brother just had his PSP Console refund refused at his local. Took a photo with his phone so will ring head office in the morning
We took on Mr T and we won:D

Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now

    You are joking, right? :D

No chart posters in my place since this farce began. Walk past the fixture half a dozen times a day to make sure no one has snuck one up behind my back

What fun I have had with the PSP Tekken offer tonight.Went to customer services to explain £10 discount wasn't applied and was kindly offered a tenner.I refused so duty manager was called and he offered to refund value of game.
I pointed out the t&c's but he insisted he would only refund game.I then asked for head office number to clarify details,he then offered full refund. When the cs lady handed me reciept to sign the duty manager picked the console and game off the counter and said I should have accepted offer of refund on game because there was no way I was getting both items.

Where do I stand.I have a copy of my reciept to prove purchase so will I still get the console and game or have I blown it.

Your expert advice would be much appreciated.

I may be reading that wrong, but I think that manager just stole your goods, which presumably means you can call the Police.

The picture in my head of 'our' Constantine is a Greek chap (because of King Constantine of Greece, is there such a person or is my brain befuddled by R&R misprices?).

BTW Constantine, was the reference to Cadbury's Whole Nut a little hint towards a misprice we haven't spotted yet? :D
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'm too old for comics but I saw the movie, didn't understand a minute of it but it looked sensational.

My OH says I'm an evil nasty ( or ruder words to that effect ) so maybe Constantine is here to squash me!

Sorry I digress, back to r&r.

I haven't found the phone offer but the PSP one was a clear case of bad housekeeping by Tesco. My local Extra covered the PSP bit up last week which is how I found it in the first place. If they realised the offer wasn't working why the hell did they not inform HO and have the SEL replaced?

After that it was simply a case of going to the other stores with the SEL without marker pen on them - simple.

A phone call from my local to Head Office would have saved thousands.

Constantine is also the name of the little lad who's journalist mother caused a furore recently by writing an article in the Daily Mail claiming 'kids are boring'

Nope...but it does display a certain amount of mis-placed style!
