Here's a heads up for Cardiff locality!!

New GOTW promotional posters ALREADY ON DISPLAY this should be a definate r&r as the new deal does not yet kick in.

If your looking to bag a console bargain anywhere in the country I would check to see if your local store hasn't been a bit keen and already posted new pos for GOTW as the offers may well not kick in yet but you will have to be quick. I would imagine it is all dependant upon the individual stores linking to central systems for updating, if you get one that is not on the ball you should be able to bag a bargain.

(for non welsh it means thank you very much, I looked it up especially just to put a smile on his face)

Yes I do get a bit muddled between the whole tesco vs tesco managers thing.

To be honest I am half thinking of issuing some sort of generic letter to HO and informing them on behalf of the general public that stores are required to scrap any information in regards to people doing refunds on overcharges as it is not a criminal offence and it is causing or is likely to cause distress when someone tries to enter a store or ask for a refund and is refused.
I might see if I can get someone to do it for me though :D

Kondormid, does being followed around a store stand up as causing distress ?

I went into Currys today while looking for the elusive Tomtom 500 for £100 sat nav.

Was followed all around store while I was looking for the sat nav display.

Not sure if this counts as distressed, was !!!!!! off because felt was being treated like a criminal instead of a bargain hunter.

    No cheap satnav either.
Back to square one, no apg, no comment.

It is reasonable for any store with goods at risk on display to employ security personal to carry out surveilance to limit shrinkage, however it is generally agreed that this should be discreet and not intimidatory in nature, I would say in the scenario you have described that there is no real case to answer, however if you were to be habitually followed for instance you may have a case if you can prove that you were albeit a rocky one.

  • Just got back from late night shopping.

All the PSP, X-box, GOTW, etc had been removed.

Spotted smoked mackrel pre-packed - £7.29/kg, on offer at £4.XX - was charged higher price.

Also on the end aisle of individual sweeties - chunky kit-kat and aero, buy 3 for 89p - no discount, ful R&R.:j :j :j :j :j

Wanted to get your advice on something else  bought 5 cases of the 20 x stella bottles with out of date SEL - which was the only price indicated - of £9.98....... was charged £12.XX. The CS desk was closed, but the assistant gave me the A4 sign that had the offer price, and wrote on the back todays date and that I had been overcharged. The Team Leader, then scribbled ' only refund the difference'.

I have to go back tommorrow to get the R&R.

Am I entitled to my full R&R?:confused::confused:

Frequent i am so furious on ur behalf!!
I am surprised u left the store without complaining, u r in there as a customer, potentially some1 providing their bread and butter! Not a criminal that they can follow u like that and make u feel uncomfortable! Whatever happenede to discreet surveillance anf that too for the ones to watch, i was recently followed in a big pc world store for a whole 10 mins, this security gurad was like 3feet behind me, i made my way to the till asked for the manager and complained, he then aplologised to me, took the guard aside then made him come and apologise to me then gave me a £50/- voucher and then spent 30mins being my personal shopper coz i asked him too! Saying that i am a girl and he prob did that coz he fancied me, thats what all me mates say, lol:)

However i wud urge evry1 to complain, we do not deserve to be treated that way and we shud not put up with it!
