Tesco Organic lamb mince, SEL price £2.49, pack price £2.49 & majority £2.59

Scans at £1.99!!! Realised once I had paid for them *sob*

Anyone any ideas on an excuse for returning 6 packs of mince? and please don't say it serves me right for being greedy, I share my finds with family and friends

Also, found the selection boxes but thought it was the Mars ones, bought 4 boxes and surprise surprise the discount did come off... think I shall be ok taking those ones back - "cheaper at woolies" or something like that...

Really can't afford to lose £8 as they were going to be for presents anyway let alone £12 on mince

I did that on Sat with finest aberdeen angus burgers, thought I was on to a winner, they scanned at an even cheaper price, It was the first time I had gone for more than one of something as well!! Never mind.

Regarding the manager who questioned me on the shop floor about my Clubcard balance and forced me to justify it to him; I have just received confirmation that nobody from Head Office passed on any of my Clubcard information to this manager, nor would they be allowed to.

Therefore this manager was apparently on his own individual mission to intimidate me by grilling me about my Clubcard balance. I don't know how he got access to my Clubcard account but I'm sure that the Data Protection Act and Tesco's Clubcard Charter have both been breached in a very serious manner.

The Clubcard scheme was not set up for store managers to bully and intimidate customers by using data obtained about them.

This is akin to your bank manager approaching you in the middle of the bank and saying "Tell me how you've got £7000 in your current account. Where did this money come from?".

I am very angry about this whole matter. I was treated with great suspicion as if I was some kind of criminal, when my high Clubcard balance is actually a result of spending large amounts of money with various Tesco departments, e.g. financial products.

I'll be taking this matter to the very highest levels.

Another thought about the addition to tha "our promise" poster at CS, check the checkouts for the smaller promise posters I am sure they wont have gone to everyone of those and altered them.

True, they usually have the smaller posters in front of the tills on the CS desk too, they did at the stores I visited yesterday although the posters hadnt been altered anyway.

Time to bush up on your cottage/shepherds pie recipies I'm afraid - you are stuck with them. Need to refund straight away - before leaving the store ideally - with fresh or frozen food.

This thread moves far too fast now.

Having just caught up with the 4 pages since my last viewing, Vicker I got free travel insurance last year with a incorrect SEL. When I got R+R, it did cancel the policy, but the store managed to reissue it at no cost...took a very long time, but they did sort it.

Hope it all works out for you...let us know how you get on.
