Tesco misprice discussion area part 9

I just hope TS get their finger out and pay the store a visit before they DO think on and take the offending SELs off!!MyUserNamesTaken wrote:TS/CD will be more interested in your above experience than Tesco not honouring its price promise. The fact that even though you'd told them about the misleading price indications on the shelf, they left them up.0 -
Personally, I would write to HO in Cheshunt about this particular store, explaining the situation regarding misleading price indications. I would tell them exactly what you have told us. Also explain about how the store refused to remove one of the conflicting labels and that the store management seems to have no regard for the law. I would also report the store every time you see misleading price indications. I wouldn't get into an argument with the store, as you will end up being banned. They don't have to give a reason for banning you, as it's private property. Follow Ben's advice on this.mandy_moo_1 wrote:Yep it was Consumer Direct. the bloke was really interested when i said the store didn't appear to be bothered about having 2 SELs up for the same item, and that they refused to remove one, and yet they STILL refused R&R!! He also said that they can't pick and choose who they aill apply the price promise to, cos there's nothing to say its at the manager's discretion, or you're not allowed it if you've been overcharged before. The duty manager in the store i was in said if i was overcharged it was "tough" and i wouldn't be eligible for R&R
If i DO get overcharged in this store again (cos believe me, they ain't frightening me away!!) and they refuse to honour their policy, can i say something like TS would be interested in your prejudices about who can & cannot have the price promise honoured, or do i quote another organisation? ( i never use the term R&R in the store, don't want them to give em something to REALLY pick on me!!)
Constantine, what are your thoughts on this issue? What would you advise Mandy to do?In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

Thanx for this....i've just written a 3 page letter to Sir Terry regarding the duty manager who was totally rude and unprofessional towards me, so might have to write again using a different name and address or he's gonna think i'm just out to be a troublemaker, and i'm not, i just don't think its right that the store can behave like this by putting up 2 SELs and then not honouring their own R&R policy and just being told that for me to benefit from a piece of steak thats only 10.87 /kg, i should have picked up the packet with the same price on!! Unbelievable!!MyUserNamesTaken wrote:Personally, I would write to HO in Cheshunt about this particular store, explaining the situation regarding misleading price indications. I would love to be able to say i have a very good friend ie "Constantine" who works high up in tesco and he's appalled by a supposedly respectable member of staff's attitude towards his customers !!!:DMyUserNamesTaken wrote:

Store Manager would be my suggestion first off. Not the Duty Manager or Some-other Manager. Complaints to head office go back to him/her anyway - may as well cut out the middle man. Then if you don't get any joy, you have exhausted the options at store level and are therefore complaining about a store, not a manager. If that makes sense...
Edit - Oh...and I love you too. Or did I read that wrong?
Who or what was I before you came in to my life
I am not sure0 -

TS wont be intersted in the price promise, just the fact they had 2 prices on display it is another organisation that ha been mentioned in the recent past on here but I have just woke up and cant rememeber Advertising standards agency I think or Consumer direct I remembered while choosing the smilie at the end see waking up a little more helps
ohh and I am sure that Constantine is female, yes tesco are an equal opertunities company they allow them to be managers I expect ther are cheaper to employ as amanager than a male manager.:rotfl:0 -

Also found Doritos 200g bags BBQ but refused R&R even though big sign said Doritos 200g/300g 3 for £3 no excluding BBQ flavour anywhere but couldnt be bothered to argue over a few bags of crisp so let it go
This is a breach of the Sale of Goods Act - report it to Trading Standards and HO.0
