With this kinda R&R do they refund both or just the Scissor Sisters CD?
I have never tried one of these.
I got both free!
If an offer relies on the purchase of another item to trigger a discount then if it goes wrong you should get both free. Same thing applies to the Xbox and game of the week if that goes wrongKeep SmilingSite member number 24

Presumably the stores don't just turn around and say that the offer has expired then ? It doesn't matter if the date has passed as long as the offer is still being displayed ?0 -

I got one at the start of the month and was refused point blank by management at the store, even the store manager. I phoned cs at head office and they agreed with the store manager saying the discount was due on the game not the package. A receipt was subsequenly posted on here showing the discount indeed applied to the package. I returned to the store and again no joy, they would only adhere to the original offer of the game for free. I left the store again with the package in my posession and i had a lovely 10 day hol in Egypt!
As usual when you return from holiday i am a bit skint and the sight of the xbox package started to look really tempting to refund and free up some cash. I decided to trawl through the forums on here and see if anybody had had better luck than me. With help from fellow mse'ers i found some useful contact names and special thanks to smartsuit, a little advice.
Armed with a little information and a quick call to cs asking if i could speak to one of the team dealing with the xbox fiasco. They acted as if they knew nothing about it so when i mentioned the names i'd collected i was put straight through to Kevin Kelly, a consumate professional who quickly rectified the matter for me and informed the store of what they had to do.
Arriving at the store, cs were already aware of who i was and duly called the store manager. The same man who had refused me twice before even saying the second time " you are not going to get a free xbox mate, not in my store ",well all of a sudden he didn't look so cocky. " I still don't agree with this, i don't know who you spoke to... " he said and by the look on his face it could have been coming out of his own wallet!
So, one very unhappy store manager and one very happy customer, but probably the best bit was the number of customers around who were asking each other why i was getting £320 refund and i hadn't brought anything back?
If you still have the xbox then i think you have won!
Many thanks for all advice and help folks - Is this the world's best site?
Think I spotted a store this afternoon where I could get an XBox (GOTW poster states 99 nights or whatever it is and that game has a white SEL) but cant afford to get it til friday (payday) and then cant really afford a long drawn out battle for it, if I dont get the R&R I would have to get a full refund as I can ill afford to have £300 tied up in an Xbox sitting in a Tesco carrier bag.
Gotta be worth a try though....Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

The moral of the story here is that if you are confident that you are correct and they are wrong, always hang on to the product! You have 28 days to get a refund so hang on to your item and try to get the R & R within this time period. It reminds me of the time I bought 6 Xbox games, under £30, when they weren't. It took me 3 weeks to get it sorted but I got my full R & R in the end!Keep SmilingSite member number 24

re Scissor Sisters CD, Tesco would be well within theirpolicy to only refund the CD as its only the CD that has been overcharged on. The offer relates directly to the CD. (Anbody know if it works with Racing stripes!!! Another £3odd DVD and one that the kids want!!)0

No, sorry it wont work. Ninety nine nights IS Game of the Week this week. Until the 21st that is. All that has happened at that store is they have not updated the SEL.
Keep looking ....Badgers badgers badgers .......0 -

Thanks to all for contributing to this site as every little helps.:T :A
I've still seen the signs for the selection boxes around tonight. I don't want any more, I've had over 12 boxes so far the nieces and nephews will love me at Xmas.
Still waiting for my call from CS about my Xbox. Come on Kevin Kelly give me a ring.Any opinions voiced are entirely my own and in no way represent those of anyone but me.
Check your Council Tax Band on the VOA Website as you could save 1000's - http://www.voa.gov.uk/council_tax/cti_home.htm0 -
The moral of the story here is.
Will this manager dare to refuse r&r to this individual in the future and risk further humiliation?
I very much doubt it.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -
