Hi all,
Am just back and we had a wonderful time. It was sunny every day and the apartment was gorgeous. The food was beautiful too and we had fresh fish most days.

Welcome home CMD, glad to hear you had a lovely time! Is the Bump well? And little Max?Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0

Thanks Wendz and Birdie!
Max had a great time. He loved the pool and took to the heat very well. He had a nap every day during the hottest time of the day and then went in the pool around 5pm. He was getting attention wherever he went as he was smiling and chatting to whoever he could! He is a sociable little thing!
The bump is good too. Getting more active by the day. I am 27 weeks today and can't believe it. This pregnancy is flying by!
We had some really sad news about an hour ago though. OH's best friends wife (who was 28 weeks pregnant) gave birth yesterday and their little boy didn't make it. We are devastated by the newsTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Glad you had a lovely holiday CMD and a good chance to relax in the sun with OH, Max and bump!
What terrible news to come home to, I can't even begin to imagine how devastating it must be for them. And also tough for you being at the same stage of pregnancyLBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Oh my word, that's such awful news, hope that you're not getting yourself worked up too much as it won't be good for your baby... That is awful news , they must be devastated.
Try not to worry yourself either. I agree your pregnancy does seem to be going really quick!0 -
Thanks - am trying not to think of it too much, as it is too stressful and sad
So I did my figures again and my debt is gone up (again). Am not happy about this but I did have a lovely holiday in Portugal, so trying not to stress too much.
OH is due to get paid some overtime this month, and get some relocation paid back so I do hope to clear the Virgin credit card by the end of July, and get a big chunk off OH's credit card. If I could have both of them gone by the time the baby arrives that would be a huge load off our minds.
We are going to have a good chat at the weekend and see where we can cut back and where we can make more money. I will hit AQA with a vengeance until the baby arrives and OH thinks there should be at least 1 day a week overtime in July and August so if we can put our heads down we can hopefully start to make some headway.
The amount of debt is very depressing though. I just can't seem to shift the last 15k and I know it is down to overspending, but I can't seem to reign myself in.
At least when we go to Ireland in July that will be the last of booking flights until Xmas. This one cost over £200 and we have to go, as it is my nieces christening. I don't think my family realise how much flights have gone up though.
Still no word on the job in Ireland that OH has gone for. It is getting beyond irritating now ......Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Sorry to hear about the debt but the holiday sounds like it was just what you all needed.
I am sure you will find ways to try and get it down a bit and where to cut down.
Sounds like it is expensive you going back to ireland on trips so if you move there at least you will save loads of money from that hehe.
How annoying about the job as well, talk about keeping someone hanging on.0
