I think men just don't think sometimes. They don't think about about everything just the one thing they are doing. At leat you had a nice weekend away.
Sorry to hear about the money as well, hopefully you can pay the extra off soon.
In answer to your question as well, yes I am feeding her myself. Is going ok but hard OH can't help.0 -

I think he has learnt his lesson. He was very apologetic & made an effort yesterday and today. As you said Wendz, it's just that he doesn't think, rather than being out and out bad or lazy.
I'm sure breastfeeding is very hard. Max wouldn't latch on (I think due to painful ridges under his cheeks from the forceps) so I expressed for 4 weeks. I am hoping to BF this time. It was nice being able to share the night feeds but I think to be able to BF is wonderful and all the benefits are amazing.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Yeah there definately are benefits to it and it has got easier. The thing i find tricky is not knowing how much she is having as you can't see it like you can with a bottle.
Glad your OH has made more of an effort. I was struggling last few nights as Poppy has decided she doesn't want to sleep in her basket but last night OH stayed up with her and think he realises why i was so tired now. Makes me feel a bit more supported anyway.0 -
I BF both mine - DS for 3 months and DD until she was finally willing to take a drink without me which was after I went back to work...! I went back to work at 4.5 months with her as I was the only breadwinner... and know I was still breastfeeding at 6 months.... I love the feelling of their little hands against you and their trusting faces....
CMD - it sounds like we have identical husbands if it is any consolation at all....
Me and DS have been for a 4.8mile walk tonight my longest walk in about a decade - during which time he was supposed to ice the cake the children had made with butter icing - so that they could then add the extra icing patterns they'd made themselves... He hadn't even done that - and worse than that he threw a major strop when we went in for interrupting him and not giving him a minute to himself and we'd been gone 2 hours!
He put DD to bed which takes 5 mins and packed half a dishwasher big deal.
Hope things improve for you.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi CMD hope things have gone better for you.
My weekend picked up... My OH got up super early on my birthday and assembled my new presents - garden furniture including garden swing seat - and joined in and got kids to tidy house...
I mentioned the whiteboard idea to my OH and he said it was a good one... so we are going to put one up in the kitchen.... I'll let you know if it improves the task sharing!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
