Hi CMD,
Congrats on the pregnancy, sorry the job isn't so good. Keep going on the debt busting, you'll get there.
Was debating baby no.2 but just been made redundant again so that's now on hold indefinitely.
Oooh ebay - what type of things do you sell?

Hi CMD. sorry to hear you're not liking your job atm, maybe you'll feel feel differently when more time passes?
I'm sure you'll get to know new mums and babies soon too, music group sounds like a good idea.
And don't worry so much abour money right now (obviously that's is not an advice to spen uncontrolably) , you're still settling down there, and there must be things you'll forget to budget for, but as saving said, you're going in the right direction and soon your debt will start going rapidly down. Good luck!
Hi Tir,
Good to see you on here. The job went slightly better yesterday so I think it will be fine (ish) but defo not one of my favourite jobs. Still I just have to suck it up til I go on maternity leave again and hopefully I will get a new job sometime next year!

Hi SavingH,
I am hoping you can give me a bit of advice actually as I know you have been in a situation where you have hated your job.
I really really don't like my boss. She is very anal and the tone of her emails are really 'school mistressy' (sp?). She has a way of ticking you off hidden behind a smiley emoticon and seems to think that I am a full-time worker - even though I only work 23 hours.
I have been a manager in my last few jobs (not one now) and I have a very relaxed attitude and give my team a lot of responsbility (not too much) and hence gained their respect. I don't know if I can be manged in such a dictatorial way. Also, I think I mentioned, the company is very corporate.
We would be able to survive (just about) on OH's wages and pay off the minimum debts until my maternity kicks in (end of June). My mother (and OH) think I should quit the job and go back to Ireland for a month as I am seriously homesick and it is affecting my mental health (worrying about work when I am not there, putting me in a very erratic mood etc).
The thing is - I can't seem to see the wood for the trees at the moment and don't know what to do. I know you quit the job you didn't like. I am not sure what to do with mine.
Any advice you (or anyone else) can give me would be great. I really am quite worried about my mental health at the moment.

Hi CMD.
I think you've directed your question to the right person, i.e. savingh, but I'm going to put my penny's worth of thoughts here. Sounds like you really are not happy in your job, and you say yourself that you're worried about your mental health. If you can, take the time off, go home to Ireland, enjoy your life and don't just get through it! (((hugs))) It will be alright. xDEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -

Thanks Tirlittan - you sound like such a lovely person. I wish I knew you in real life! I know SavingH will put me on the right path too. It's amazing how much you can respect some people when you have never even met.
Thanks so much for your supportive words. It means a lot xTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

You just take care of yourself, that's the most important thing.
And I agree, it's amazing how much you can respect people that you've never even met.
Bit of my story.
After 8 years in UK, and after a break up of a 5yr relationship, I was working in a job I didn't much care for anymore. I didn't really have the means, but decided to go back to Finland for a summer. Ended up staying there for 5 months, seeing friends and family; it was a good decision, and I don't regret it though it did put me more in debt as I didn't get work for all the time I was there. But it did rejuvanate (sp?) me, and I felt more happy and clear what I wanted to do, and after I came back, I moved to Cardiff, and rest is history...DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -

Thanks for sharing that Tir. I do believe health is the most important thing as well. Especially now I have one baby and another on the way. Maybe a break in Ireland is what I need. Oh said I am not to worry about the debts as we have had them for 8 years now so what is another couple of years more. It's just frustrating because they are a barrier to so many things....Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I know what you mean about debts being a barrier to so many things (I've felt like that for 3 years now and especially when in a relationship-not this one though), but if you run yourself sick because that's all you're worried about, you won't be able to enjoy the money anyway.
Health is definitely the most important things, especially when you have kids. Just think how much better mind set you'll be in when you've spent time at home. It'll do you nothing but good and your OH is right, year or two more with debts won't really make that much difference.
Take care now. I'm off and going to get ready for my friends to come over. Well, they're here already but I need to go and do some shopping,it'll be cocktails night tonight and maybe some films at home. Looking forward to it.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0
