Hey CMD!
I haven't followed anyone's diaries for awhile - does this mean you're moving to Scotland? Good luck and I'm sure you'll be busting the debt in no time at all once you've settled.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -

Hi Tirlittan,
Yes, we are moving to Scotland on Wednesday. Am quite excited about it as we will be able to pay off more debts and at a quicker rate too!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
DFD:Nov 22/June 22
Mortgage: €199,712
MFD: March 2042/July 20340 -
So £15112 is my final debt total. An absolute disgrace but this time I am DETERMINED it will be gone as soon as possible.
So I am going to break my aims down into segments to make things easier. I want to have £7,500 left by the 21st Feb 2012 and hopefully to clear it in full by the end of Dec 2012.
By June 2011 - I want to have £12,000 left
By Sept 2011 - I want to be under £10,000
By Jan 2012 - I want to be under £8,500
By April 2012 - I want to be under £6,000
By July 2012 - I want to be under £5,000
By Sept 2012 - I want to be under £3,000
By Jan 2013 - I want to be debt free
I am so so determined this time.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
DFD:Nov 22/June 22
Mortgage: €199,712
MFD: March 2042/July 20340 -
We are moving to Scotland so that the debt can be paid off quicker, so in our favour is the fact that we have less rent to pay, OH has less travel expenses to pay, he gets a bonus 3 times a year (not a great amount but better than nothing) and I will be working 3 days a week.
Things that are financially up against us at the moment is the fact that baby number 2 is on the way (due in September and we are thrilled but maternity pay is not good) and nursery fees.
However, I think we can still meet these aims. I would love to debt free as soon as possible so we can give DS and the other little one the best life possible.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I'm being good today and posting on threads that I read!
Already commented on Dinah's thread but I wanted to say congrats here too. Must be so exciting. And I hope the move goes stress and problem free for you. Even without the added bonus of being able to clear your debts quicker, the move sounds a little fabulous all round.

Your plans sound really good CMD and I think it's good to have goals on the way,so much easier to keep to big goal at the end. Well done. Hope your move goes well and you settle down quickly.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0

I've been very, very bad and not really got on with job hunting...:o
But, have now almost updated my cv and it is going to be sooo much better than the old one and have saved some jobs I need to apply for.
Got a kick up the bottom recently as well as bf's train fares look like they're going up so need to get a move on.
Off this Friday as well and going up to N.Wales to help bf's mum move. Then just next week at work and then a week off again as my dad comes to visit.DEBT FREE OCTOBER 2012!Proud to have dealt with my debts!0 -
Hi CMD - hope the move goes well! Big congratulations on your little one! Wow! I was eighteen months apart from my brother and we were very close as kids. Are you thinking of any more after that or have you not thought that far yet?
Very exciting time for you - and probably tiring too. Make sure you look after yourself...
You will get there with the debts - It is a hard balance isn't it wanting to pay stuff off but not wanting to sacrifice your quality of life too far either... If you are determined you will sort it! You have already come such a long way!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Hi CMD
Congratulations on your pregnancy, how wonderful, what will the age gap be? I have 13 months between my eldest two.
Good luck with the move to Scotland and with the debt busting. I am on a mission to pay off as much as I can over the next few months, am doing quite well on my Business Ebay account so am throwing all I can at the debts.
Hope Max is doing well.
