  • Hi all,

Well we moved and it was very very stressful but we are in the new place and it is fab!

I started my new job today and Max had his first settling in session at nursery. He seemed to love it. He has been at mother and baby groups since he was about 4 weeks old anyway so I'm not expecting too many tears from him as he is gernerally a very sociable and easy going baby. OH had never seen the nursery & he was shown around today. He was really impressed and thought the garden was fab. It is really big and has a vegetable patch, fruit trees and lots of swings and slides! Fingers crossed it all goes well.

I have just been paid so I have made all necessary debt payments for us. I was hoping to be able to pay more off but the move has been very expensive so it has taken a bit out of us financially. If there is anything leftover at the end of the month I will pay off some more.

Will respond to all the supportive posts later on :)

Paid off another £110 off my Virgin credit card. I am hoping to get that paid off when I get paid at the end of March.

I don't like my new job, so that is a bit of a bummer :(

    Hi CMD

Congratulations on your pregnancy, how wonderful, what will the age gap be? I have 13 months between my eldest two.

Good luck with the move to Scotland and with the debt busting. I am on a mission to pay off as much as I can over the next few months, am doing quite well on my Business Ebay account so am throwing all I can at the debts.

    Hope Max is doing well.

    Hiya TooMuch,

Great to see you on here. There will be 18 months between Max and the new baby. I am panicking about how I will cope. Is it very difficult?

I am delighted to to hear your business Ebay account is doing well!

I'm being good today and posting on threads that I read! :D Already commented on Dinah's thread but I wanted to say congrats here too. Must be so exciting. And I hope the move goes stress and problem free for you. Even without the added bonus of being able to clear your debts quicker, the move sounds a little fabulous all round.

Thanks for your positive words Cinny. You always put a nice slant on everything!

    Thanks SavingH,

I have friends here from when we lived here before but no friends with babies. We went to a music class today and enjoyed that though, so I will keep bringing Max to that. Hopefully, I will meet someone there!

Not sure I will get to pay off all of the Virgin credit card next month, as I forgot about having to pay a nursery fee deposit this month! Doh :(

I do have some CDs to sell on music magpie though, and we are also selling an old ipod, DS and PSP so I am hoping to get over £200 for them!

What do they do at the music group CMD?

On the credit card.... you can only do what you can do so try not to stress over it... You are still moving in the right direction

Hi CMD. sorry to hear you're not liking your job atm, maybe you'll feel feel differently when more time passes?
I'm sure you'll get to know new mums and babies soon too, music group sounds like a good idea.
And don't worry so much abour money right now (obviously that's is not an advice to spen uncontrolably ;)) , you're still settling down there, and there must be things you'll forget to budget for, but as saving said, you're going in the right direction and soon your debt will start going rapidly down. Good luck!
