I have enquired tonight and they will allow people to join.Ask to speak to a duty-manager if need be .They mat try to fob you off but if you persist they will grant you consent .I explained that their selective invites were by defintion discriminatory and likely to alienae those excluded-it seemed to work John

Do you expect to get every mailshot of every code ever issued in the country?

£20 bonus or not its still a good savings rate for the year, well its a hell of a lot better than whatthe bank is offering me, so ill still use the account. Until another deal comes along them ill switch to that one.

I agree. I opened an account yesterday morning. All went through ok and I got an email within a hour asking for a cheque. I phoned as the on line application would not take the code. The customer service lady asked her manager if she could apply the promotion to my account after taking my details. Shw had a word with her manager who said yes. I have set-up to save £5 per month. I know it's not much but more than I can afford at the moment. I'll wait and see if I get the bonus. Either way I have started saving!!:)

I opened an account yesterday morning, I have logged into it today and my £20 incentive for opening the account is showing, I did not have an address mail drop just used the code quoted to use ING085 off website

I paid my deposit by debit card and the deposit and miscellanous credit of £20 are both showing on my account
  • Brilliant find- already recieved the £20!

Was it titled ''confirmation of the set up of direct debit''

If so i got the sae letter and i paid with my debit card, but i'd read it again if it is the same letter cos it actually says, ''if you have NOT yet made your first deposit from your linked account, please send a cheque for £1''

So i think its just a standard letter. No ned to send a cheque.
