What you've described could be construed as "racing", which is one offence that carries the full weight of the law!!
Perhaps you should read this before doing such things in future.
I never obstruct someone who is in the process of overtaking, no matter what they drive.
If im on dual carriageway and the car behind is on my bumper tying to prevent another car pulling in, I will slow right down and let 2 or 3 cars come past us both instead, much to his/her disaproval.
I find (sorry girls) it tends to be women that fight to hold a position in "queues" more so than men. Im not sure why that is?
