I usually find that drivers that call other drivers " idiots " are usually the less competent of the two drivers.;)0

It's weird how what you drive tends to dictate how others drive around you.0

I suspect you might be right!
While you may do things I wouldn't (& vice versa), I don't see anything that should provoke the responses in the vids.. certainly the guy in the silver 4x4!
Even with the camera you only see one side of the story. We can't see what is going on behind.
Another interpretation (I'm not saying this is what happened). 4x4 sees strider pulling out and waits for him to pass before pulling out to overtake the car in front. Strider takes his time pulling back in after overtaking (maybe the 4x4 is tailgating so Strider stays in the right lane on purpose). Either way, 4x4 is now peeved, so decides he's getting past regardless. Neither party is particularly innocent.0 -
^^ It's a 4x4, it's a Hyundia with a very poor diesel engine... The speed he came past me, he had to have a run up.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I don't see a problem with his driving, I'll admit that the first overtake in the morris minor clip was a bit pointless & didn't get him anywhere but it was legal &, as far as I can tell, safe. The guy in the Focus then closed the gap to the morris & delberately moved out to block another overtake...why? If he's happy to travel at 38 or so then what does it matter if someone goes past?
In the 4x4 clip I can't see a problem at all, the 4x4 wasn't indicating to pull out, he wasn't cut up or blocked so what was his problem? Ok Strider may have been late returning to the inside lane but how does that justify the 4x4 drivers actions?Even with the camera you only see one side of the story. We can't see what is going on behind.

Totally agree with most but if getting "peeved" over something like that causes that reaction then god help us!Always try to be at least half the person your dog thinks you are!0 -
Be careful driving over hatched areas - as they aren't driven over often they 'collect' lots of rubbish.
Bricks, timber, large stones, scaffold clamps, bits of metal etc. Lots of things you don't want to hit at any speed.0 -

And eh I don't see any issue in riding over chevrons LEGALLY in order to make smooth progress....
Furthermore rule 169: 'Do not hold up a long queue of traffic, especially if you are driving a large or slow-moving vehicle. Check your mirrors frequently, and if necessary, pull in where it is safe and let traffic pass.'
Thus the moggie driver should really have let everyone pass at some point, but as he has a delightful automobile and not a tractor or something I think we'll let him off.0 -

I suspect that Vectra's have caught a bad name from being fleet vehicles driven by idiot sale reps up and down the motorways.
Since I started driving I've always had GTi, turbo, 4x4, something or other.
When I was 21 I owned a 1.8 Cavalier SRi
At 25 I was in a Cavalier 2.0T 4x4 (cosworth power)
A few years on now.......
My last car was a grey BMW Z4 3.0 with 18inch alloy wheels.
My current car is a black debadged Audi A4 Quattro with 19inch wheels and two exhaust pipes. It's also remapped but that's not visible.
I've never experienced the rage you have.
I've also have a private plate on which was on both cars just to further annoy the rep mobiles.....but it makes no difference.
Believe me, both cars can shift and I can overtake where most cars can't even think about it. Still no major rage experiences.
In your videos I would say your driving is a touch quick and possibly deemed aggressive ie overtaking in a queue even though it looked safe.
That quick driving in what is perceived as a repmobile can annoy drivers.
I've been driving long enough to let idiots pass me if they want - I don't want to be in an accident.....or worse.
EDIT : note I don't think illegal, perhaps a bit quick (but safe) and therefore deemed aggressive

I was also taught the rear view mirror thing in learning to drive 'normally', not for the IAM or anything.
