Being the mother of one child who refuses to eat almost any vegetable and one who will eat whatever is put in front of him, I have come to the conclusion that having a HM macaroni cheese with a shop-bought garlic bread in the freezer means I can do no wrong. :j
Am I the only one who has a "can't be bothered" night on a Friday night????? Don't think so, somehow.
Hope you are all having a Fabulous Friday btw!"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

I'm with lynzpower on this one - food that shames me to my OS core;
oven chips & beans, I do DH a Harry Ramsdens extra large fish to go with his.
We had this last night as it happens but at least the bread to make the butties was home made.:o0 -
We've just had it - pasta with pesto. I fried some chopped tomatoes and pine nuts to add to mine, but the kids had theirs with just pesto.
I am also a big fan of beans and cheese on toast, with a chopped onion under the cheese just to be flash!"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee."0 -
Cooked Pasta, tin of campells consensed tomato soup & tub of Boursin cheese.
Scrumptious
If I've got any energy then I'll add some peppers, onions, courgettes & mushrooms to it.
When I'm really lazy its Egg, Chips and beans with bread and butter. Hubby ALWAYS cooks this for me as I cannot fry eggs or cook decent chips :rotfl:Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
It is 'the law' in our house that on a Friday we have a lazy tea whilst watching The Simpsons. This used to be some sort of a take-away but now could be...
~2 pizzas and half a bag of oven chips (around £2.46 cost from Aldi)
~Tesco veg hot dogs and half a bag of oven chips (aroung £3) etc
(both meals have less fat than the take away versions)
We eat healthy/balanced food for the rest of the week so it is so nice to end the working week/school week with a lazy tea. The kids also get to buy some sweets from the local shop.
I love Fridays!!!!! :j0 -
Gnocchi, topped with a jar of Loyd Grossman's pasta sauce, a tin of tuna, some black olives and chopped chorizo, some shavings of Parmesan and a few torn leaves of Basil. Just had this for tea, as we very often do on a Friday night, it takes 5 minutes to prepare and it always hits the spot! YummmmOfficial DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0
