I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.0 -
I will eat basically anything but OH doesn't like potatoes, beans, peas, sweetcorn  so doesn't like to make things easy
Have thought about hiding the stuff he doesn't like, but that's another story...
My favourite can't be bothered meal that we will both eat is a 'cheat's' carbonnara:
Cook spaghetti
Whilst cooking, fry onion and bacon (small pieces).
Put plug in sink and run hot water with smidge washing liquid.
When onion and bacon cooked, melt in a tub of mascarpone, drain spaghetti and mix into sauce, plate up and put pan in sink imediately.
Enjoy dinner.
Put feet up whilst OH/kids 'wash up'.
You could make it even quicker by having previously chopped bacon and onion in the freezer.0 -
Guys, this thread to me is like a cookbook!! I'm going to try out some of these "recipes" in the comming weeks!
My can't be bothered:
1 - Noddles
2 - Tined Mackrel in tomato sauce sandwich with whatever salad stuff is in sight and some "fiery" Doritos (the doritos add a crunch that makes this really great!)
3 - Tin of spagetti rings & sausage on toast, the grated cheese on top and grill for a few minutes (you can also make a sandwich out of this and put it in this sandwich maker thing that toasts the bread, melts the cheese and warms the spagetti up)
4 - Peanut butter & Honey sandwich with a milkshake (you can change the honey for strawberry jam)
5 - Cereal
6 - Soft boiled eggs on toast (yum!)0 -
Chinese instant noodles are always on standby in my cupboard. They have to be a Chinese brand though, NOT Pot Noodles (byek). I like to make a ramen-type soup by adding plenty of water, then add finely chopped spring onion, carrot, shredded lettuce leaves, some bean sprouts, and a hard-boiled egg for extra nutritiousness.Context is all.

Make your other half cook instead
Useless Husband has discovered the joys of fresh pasta and instant stir in sauces. I buy them on special offer and while it's not cheap, at least it's something he can't ruin and I don't have to bother.
If I'm obliged to cook for myself and I'm feeling lazy I like noodles, but I get the good quality ones from a chinese supermarket and throw in some veg so it's not too bad. I like pesto too, but I stir mine into plain basmati rice and grate a bit of cheese over the top.
I'm going to be off work sick for a few weeks so I filled the freezer with individual portions of healthy recipe home made soup. Easy to reheat and eat when you're poorly.0 -
Cheese and bean toasties! Or cheese and tomato or mushroom are also good.0
