  • I wondered the same, my prrevious cash back claim was paid with no issues 3 months ago. This time however, no response from them.

I have now spent nearly 2 hours listening to a scratchy version of Enya they use for their hold music over the last 6 days. Finally (after 15 mins) got through to their sales "team" who couldn't help and kindly cut me off after a couple of minutes on hold.

They are still there, they just don't seem to want or to be able to actually do anything of any real use.

Well, all I can say is that this is nothing new. ALL cpw companies act that way whenever they decide to. Good experiences count for nought once you're selected for "special" treatment. There has been ample evidence for a long time that Mobiles.co.uk differ only in small detail but not general approach and attititude to their customers.

As always, don't waste time calling them or putting up with the games they invent. Stick to the t&c, send the LBA (AND email it to them - LBA goes to cpw registered office) and then sue if they don't stop playing games. Provided you have followed the groundrules it matters little what they do, say, don't do or don't say - unless you let it.

since my last post, i have had one email from customer services:
    Hello,

I can confirm that we have recieved your bill, its currently queued waiting to be processed, their is a slight backlog at the moment with the cashback team but will be contacted once this has been processed.

Apolgoes for any inconvinience caused and hope this is of some help.

so at least they're not completely gone.

On another thread someone reckons they are "closed" today. Not to worry - when I sue I sue cpw in any case!
  • They are still up and running, I spoke to one of their representatives earlier.

Did you check whether it was a mobiles.co.uk employee or a representative from the Recievers ?????

Hi MobileJunkie - I too have had no success contacting mobiles.co.uk via email. I'm planning on telephoning mobiles.co.uk on a number I discovered after much searching on their website last night (01923 804444); but if this fails, I think I will take your advice above. Can you tell me what the LBA is and also what the CPW company is??

I have tried twice to submit my recent July bill in respect of a cashback claim, but have not received any acknowledgement of its receipt. (I have another 4 claims to make totalling over £200 cashback as part of a line rental redemption deal). I am an avid fan of MSE and frustrated with myself that I hadn't looked into this seemingly appalling company before purchasing my phone with them. The deal offered with this company was only financially viable for me, provided the cashback comes through, and as I haven't breached any of the t&c, I am determined to take this as far as necessary to ensure I receive it.

    Many thanks.

Some people like to think Me, MJ and Quentin have had him placed in concrete somewhere doing something useful like holding up a flyover.
However as he hasn't been seen anywhere on the net for over 3 months now it's probable he was transferred when the restructuring of the CPW companies was going on.

I think it's highly likely that as he had a previous ID on here and bearing in mind the number of hours every day he would spend here he would not be able to resist to read the threads ;)

If they owe you money you can submit it the day after the monies were due to you
