Have frozen semi skimmed milk with no broblem also frozen utterly butterly when on bogof offers only thing i must remember to take it out in plenty time to defrost i tend to forget ,0

How do you defrost it? Do you leave it on the counter - how long would that take? Or leave it to defrost in the fridge.. how long would that take?0

We always have a couple of bottles of milk in the freezer as back up. When defrosting I take it out in the morning and leave it out, it is completely defrosted by the afternoon.0

I always defrost mine in a jug just in case there is a split bottle (has only happened once) and there will be a fair bit of ice on the outside of the bottle. It stops the puddle on the worktop.
I've frozen milk for about the last 15 years so 1 split bottle in that time isn't too bad.0 -
I have two frozen tubs of benecol.....wonder if the 'active ingredient' is harmed by freezing....hmmm ?

I have bottle of milk and block of butter frozen right now.
In the past I froze all types of margarine in tubes.
I defrost all of them in the fridge - time depends on the size (e.g. 2ltr bottle of milk defrost in about 24 hrs)mortgage started 31st May 2011 -£59200

I started to freeze my milk when I realised I could buy it in bulk for 85p from costco instead of nearly 1.35 from other supermarkets!0

If I need a little bit quickly, I'll pour boiled water over it in the sink; if I need a lot, then I microwave the frozen milk carton.0 -
wouldn't boiling water or the microwave cook the milk?0

I am just wondering if you can freeze the 1% fat milk from morrisons that is 50p for 4 pints at the mo ?
It doesn't say on the label that i can't. but it doesn't say i can. i don't want to freeze it and it end up being wasted.
