I do hope you are not implying my morals are anything other than.. moral?

Until last year I had only had 1 sexual partner.. I have now progressed to 2.. both are strange..

It isn't my fault the one father of all my children decided to have a mental breakdown and develop alleycat tendencies... that was entirely his own choice.. coming home with crabs was the last straw though... great way to throw away 20 years of marriage.

That says so much more about you than anyone else.

I expect you mean that as a compliment.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

Not at all - just that you had a large brood.

(Does anyone actually "choose" to have a mental breakdown?)

Hey.. I'm good at what I do.. actually I do rather like my own brood.. apart from this week.. when i don't because they have all been vile!

And yes it was a path he chose.. mid-life crisis type of thing.. loses several stone, takes up dancing and karaoke and decides to sleep around.. kind of a conscious decision to lose the plot.. Why he couldn't just buy a car like normal men I have no idea.

Most men who go through a mid life crisis end up buying a powerful motorbike which they end up crashing.

that would be fine.. we had life insurance...

It makes me laugh all these so called ideologies..marriage first then children. Who says? some sexist male yonks ago according to the church.

I had my son 2 years before marriage came, he came to the wedding and looked cute on the pics and i've had people say to me "i'm doing it the right way" but who says thats the right way, why live life according to someone else, i'm no less of a person or parent because my son was born before marriage, we are still together, married even, it just didn't happen in the way too many people feel it should.

I have found though that those couples who have done it the so called right way, well at least 3 of them have had to have IVF because they waited so long, marriage, then time together, then kids  One is still trying, i know whats more important to me and thats kids married or not. :T

f you love and respect someone, why on earth not give them the legal status of marriage? Otherwise it's like flatmates who sleep together.

    Agree completely with the OP.
I agree completely with the op too.:D

I'm afraid I see that attitude as the reason why there are so many broken relationships and over important children these days.
