:( I did my back in on Wednesday night playing softball and now I'm out of action :(. Obviously no more running this week. I know it'll pass but it's frustrating as I can't really do much at the moment and am at home, not working. I know where it all started so that's ok. But it does put me back with my running.

Well I was determined to go for a run after work, even if it meant missing some of the tennis. Ran for 40mins which is the longest I've run for ages. Went well, quite tired when I got back but I did it. Back out again on Sunday

BTW - wore my brand new running sports bra and it was great. Didn't even notice it for ages because no bouncing -yeah! Off to buy another one in black!

  • Hope you are feeling better soon tirlittan :(

Unfortunately no running for me - I've really been unwell, at the beginning of the week I was having dizzy spells and towards the end (bizarrely) I have developed a cold?!?!?!

Anyway, I am really hoping to be on form and ready for everything next week (please?) - I hope everyone here are having great runs xxx

Another 40min run this morning and it was warm out there early on!

Very hungry when I got back so a few snacks (rice cakes and nectarine) and a lot of drinks!

    Happy running everyone!

first 'proper' run in about 5 weeks (thanks to my chest infection) done this morning - it was really too hot to want to go out, even at 10:20am, but as I've got my 10km RFL next Saturday I knew i didn't have a lot of choice !!

3.88 miles in 38.50.5, so an average pace of 9:55.5/mile - and only two very short walks while I took a drink of water.

    Happy enough with that :)

Well done everyone who'd been running. My back is getting better, but I'll take it very carefully over the next couple of weeks. Not sure if I'm doing any running next week yet, but if not, I'll go for some walks instead.

Hope all those that have been/are poorly are recovering and feel better very soon.

After last Weds' really hard run, it took me a few days to recover :o Then I was away at the weekend, so no running there.....But I did go out for 40 mins around the lanes this evening - I have no idea how far/fast because again I didn't have my watch, but I certainly felt that I worked hard enough so that will suit me nicely!

Hoping to go out again on Wednesday.....I really want to get back into a routine as i would like to do an Autumn half marathon and want to make a good go of the time.

I'm off out again first thing in the morning before work and the rush to get ready and go! A short 3mile run as time is short. Decided to go then to get it done for the day. Here's hoping I can get up!

Longer run time is Fri and Sun for this week

Hey ladies and good running for everyone.
My back is back to normality so went to softball practise yesterday as we have the most important game of the season coming up on Wednesday. Fell off my bike on the way there :o and went over the handlebars but was absolutely fine, just breaked bit too hard on the front when coming to a narrow corner bit and then finding someone else was coming the other way. :D Anyway, might try for a little run this week but probably just the one.
