Hi All, I've been guilty of reading the updates via email instead of logging on and posting! I didn't do the Leeds Half on Sunday. After my fall a few weeks ago closely followed by the chest infection I just haven't been able to put the training in so I decided it would be more sensible to pull out and get ready for Edinburgh instead! I did 15K on Saturday. I wanted to do at least 16 but I ran out of time as I had appointments booked! Doing an hour this afternoon and then going to running club on Thursday. Am thinking maybe 10K this weekend as the race is the Sunday afterGood wine needs to breathe, if it stops breathing try mouth to mouth.0

Nice steady run this morning, trying out a new playlist. Think I've found my pace-maker, as even with the hill work (282ft gain over the entire route) I managed an average of 9:44.5/mile over 7.21 miles
That was also with three very brief walks on the most severe uphill stretch.
** love my new M0town Ch@rtbuster CDs**
Weather was muggy when I set out, but I then got rained on from around the 3.58 mile point until 5.25 miles - made the going a lot easier, although it also started at the end of the major uphill work which probably also helped
Now off to get a quick lunch, wash and change for work (need to be out in just over 30 mins), then home for another quick snack and change before heading out for my first ever Zumb@ class at 7:15pm !!!Cheryl0 -
25min run again tonight - bit harder as added another section back on to get a bit closer to the 3mile mark. Legs aching so will stick at this for another 2 or 3 runs then see where I am thenfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550

Legs felt like lead this morning, which wasn't a good start
Not sure if that's because of the uphill work I did on Wednesday mornings run, or the fact I did Zumba for the first time that evening as well - possibly my first mistake, but I decided I still needed to get out and run this morning.
I'd set my alarm for the first time since Tuesday (has to be set for work on Mon & Tues), so was up 1.5-2hrs earlier than the last 2 days and as such I set out 1.5hrs earlier than Wednesday - second mistake, as it meant I hit the school run traffic and had a couple of much longer waits to get across major road junctions.
I set out on the same route as Wednesday, but had 90% decided to cut off the loop at the top which would reduce it to 4.33 miles. But when I got to the cut through point I decided to keep going even if I had to take more walk breaks than I did last time.
So 7.21 miles done with several additional walks, but despite those (and time wasted trying to cross roads) it only took me 2:35 longer which I'm quite happy with
Time to complete the route was 1:12:49, giving an average pace of 10:06/mileCheryl0 -
I managed 11K today which is ok to say I totally wasn't in the mood today. I took it steady (1hr18mins). It took me 1 hr 10 to do the 10K, I did the extra 1K as a warm down so went even slower!
I'm off to Scotland on Tuesday so taking my trainers and just doing 5K - then nothing until the half marathon on Sunday!Good wine needs to breathe, if it stops breathing try mouth to mouth.0 -

Ran 3 miles on 11th, 4 miles on 13th and another 3.5 miles today
Meant to do 5 miles today but ran out of juice....never mind - it happens to everyone (thats what I keep telling myself)
Another rest day tomorrow then I will do 3 miles on Tuesday and 4-5 miles on Wednesday.
Hope you are all getting lots of running in under your belts xBe the change you want to see in the world - Gandhi

Sunday is traditionally my long run day, so having done 7.21 miles on both Wednesday and Friday I'd mapped a run of just over 10 miles (and which I could add a touch extra to about 3/4 of the way through if I felt up to it)
Legs were like lead on Friday morning (before my run), but have felt fine since then - until this morning. Very shakey feeling, which I've put down to not eating enough yesterday (was very distracted on FB chat for about 10 hours).
Decided to get out and try and do something, but only managed 3.11 miles at an average pace of 10:03.8/mile
Just hoping I'm not coming down with anything, as I've got the final Challenge66 run in York on Friday (and a date for next Sunday!)Cheryl0 -
Ran this morning - first time since last Sun. Still dragging myself around a 5k route but is only 2nd week of running after the break from last week caused by getting in late from work all week
Might go again tomorrow or if not Mon and aim for 3 times this weekfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Not long back from a couple of nights away - all paid for with a bonus I got from work and had forgotten I qualified for this year
Went to York late on Thursday (called in to see a friend of the way, so didn't actually arrive until after Midnight!), and took part in the final run for Challenge66 on Friday - managing to run around 10 miles in total (though I still need to upload the info from my GPS to check exactly how far I did). Didn't do it all in one go though, as I knew I desperately wanted to do the final lap with Andy whose challenge it was...... and their were loads of us did that one with him - and stayed with him instead of running at our own paces. Without anything being said we all made sure he was first to finish that lap, even though he then had a small distance to go and do on his own to complete the 50km. Others weren't allowed to do that with him as it was on the actual course - the rest having been done inside the rails where the TV vans normally drive round. Even got to see myself (at a distance, and side on from the back) on the local news last nightCheryl0
