well done all on the efforts.
its hard to follow as its getting busy on here!..very good......

can i recommend those that are looking for a target as starters, look up Park runs.
they are all over the country, every saturday at 9am, and once you register you just turn up........and....its free.

i have been to a few and they are very friendly, with very fast times at the front, and kids, and dog walkers and fun runners at the back, and plenty of encouragement!. you can track your progress on their website as they time you.

    for me,
10 miles and a sea swim on Tuesday was great, and another planned today, wanted to go out yesterday, but time caught up!

good luck if you are out later.

    Well done on everyone's runs.

I went out yesterday and did my usual 3.8mi. Slightly faster than last time in 32:57. I'm going to try to do 3 runs each week now. Weekend after next when softball finishes, I'm going to take a break from everything else except running as have elbow tendonitis that's getting worse and I need to get rid of it before indoor volleyball season starts in earnest. So will have 3 weeks rest for my arms. Will be horrible not to go and play beach vb, but can't help it, must be done. :( So it'll be mostly just cardio, running and cycling and some core work.

After my cold went I got back out there today to start Week 7 and ran slowly with no stops for 25mins. Went well overall with a couple of dodgy breathing bits but that settled down again and I'm pleased with how it went.

Thinking of doing Run 2 tomorrow, will see how I feel. Its nice running later on in the day as I feel less achy but as its warmer so I go redder!

morning all! welldone everyone on the runs!!! mac i'm glad the toe is feeling better and sparkle you are doing great!! evab, did you see me in llandudno on saturday did you did you??? :D
well, no running to report my end, simply for the fact that on saturday i cycled 50 miles from talacre beach in wales, out to llandudno and all the way back with some blimmin mahoosive hills!! (only a few though it was mainly flat!) but ensuing leg ache put me out of action yesterday!! had a day walking around liverpool on friday, got the train over and had a good looksee around so i count that as exercise too!!
I came home to find my race number for the half marathon on 29th august yesterday so the mileage is going to be increased this week. I am going to aim for 3 x 10 mile runs, monday, weds and friday, with shred thrown in too. should be fun!!! am a little concerned that after the cycle both of my knees were exceptionally painful to the extent that last night my left knee, which til now has always been my good one, gave me a little cry... :( hope it was just a tweak and not signs of trouble to come with that one!!!
take it easy everyone and happy runnings!! stay safe out there. x

Ouch - take it easy with those knees Pania :o

No run for me this morning due to little DD tugging at my heart strings and crying that she would miss me
I'll defo have to go in the morning, as then I'm off to Rome for 3 days to celebrate/commisurate being 40 :D

    Have a good day everyone!

    Hiya all.
Hope the twinge in your knees Pania is just because of the hills and long ride on the bike. I guess you don't do that too often and you do use different muscles to running.

I cried of from park run on Saturday; lie-in with bf sounded much nicer, but will really have to start going out 3 times a week. Just feel really sluggish atm and cycle to work today was on very lethargic legs...:(
