Overslept this morning so will go for a lunchtime session today instead. Have no option but a morning session tomorrow as I'm busy from midday onwards.

I had serious case of CBA this morning but due to complicated logistics re DD being in the holiday club, running to work was the best option so had a slow toodle of 2 miles to the gym to find out that they had no hot water

    Blimey,
    very busy on here!
I havent had times to read it all, but i am back after three weeks running, and to be honest a lot of eating in the south of france.
managed a run every other day at 30plus degrees c. looking forward to getting out later in a more normal temp!hoping for 10 miles today!

so pleased to see new runners out there.
stick with it if you are really new and things will get better, and you will feel great.

half marathon in sept so no excuses!

good luck if you are out later!

I went for a run early doors this morning only 4 miles but my legs felt heavy after shred last night.

I can really feel it in my thighs tonight. I don't know whether to rest from running tomorrow and go to the gym/do shred instead or to just have a total rest day. Any ideas or should I just wait and see how I feel. I want to try for 10k at the end of the week and I don't want to knacker myself out.

have a gentle mile tomorrow or do shred and a swim if you can. the heaviness is the build up0 of lactic acid in your muscles. drink plenty of water and have a stretch. you may find in the morning they are less heavy. x

Very proud! Have just finished my first 30 minute run with no walking! There were two hills of the nasty gradual variety and I got a stitch but carried on going!
Total 2.31 miles and 291 calories according to the gps. Now aiming for a non walking 5k and looking for a 5k event to enter in Aug/Sept

That sounds like a good plan, I haven't swam for ages so that will be a nice change.
