Hypno, you will do - Edinburgh is as flat as a pancake and is one of the fastest marathons in the country. It so happens it is one of my slower ones - when I did it it was very hot (we are talking about 28C) and they run out of water. Also, it is rather boring so be prepared.
But remember, you are a powerful runner who moves like the wind.

Hello Everyone,
I am finally going to start posting having been reading this thread for a while. I have been in Cornwall for a week and for the first time ever I took my running gear on holiday. I did 3 runs while there, only 4-5 miles each but quite hard work along the south west coastal path. Beautiful scenery though so took my mind off the exertion!
Having got home I am aiming to get up to 10k by the end of the summer hols, (I am a teacher so lots of time), I've made a bit of headway and am now up to 5.5 miles. Going to do this again this week and then next week try a six miler.
I've also got the shred video and did level 2 for the first time tonight, what a killer!! Who would have thought you could be quite so puffed out after 20 mins. Must be doing some goodLBM Jul 2010:[STRIKE] £29717.06[/STRIKE]

I have to keep off running, remember? So training takes alternative forms - today I went to the gym and did circuits involving jumping high into squats, jumping on and off a step, many press ups, pull ups, V-sits and cross trainer. Survived - and I will remember in the future to stretch properly (the lack of is the reason for my condition).

Am aiming to get out for a run again tomorrow morning, really enjoy my Friday morning session.0
