    Good running sparkles!

    Hi hypno!

Did my first Bristol parkrun yesterday, cycled there and back, 12mile round trip. I'm not a fan of going uphill and the first half in Bristol is just that, and then back downhill. Found it so hard and my time was absolutely crap. I don't think I will be too fussed about doing that too many times. And as it's on a Saturday, it'll just interfere with my long runs. Runbristol are however doing some training sessions to help people who are doing Bristol 10k or half marathon so have registered for those.

That's a good idea to cycle there and back before the park run. Has given me an idea as my nearest park run is about 7 or 8 miles away.

Think I'll give it a go once the half mara is over and done with and uni calms down a little over the summer. Plus it should help with my cycle to work plan

  • Watching the VLM and thinking if I had got a place I couldn't have let my motivation slide like I did

Very inspiring, I would love to run it one day, I will keep applying :D

Thought I'd better take advantage of the sunny evening tonight after last evening's downpour. Ran 4 miles and took a minute of my best time (I think) there and back in 36mins today. V.pleased!

Looks like tomorrow will be another washout, hoping to get out for an hour on Friday

Well done sparkles! It was indeed a beautiful evening so I had no excuses for not going out for a run, but somehow I managed it anyway...:(

Finally been back running. My longest run up to date this year,5.17miles. Lovely new route as well, really enjoyed it and it gave me a bit of confidence for the half mara as I've only been doing 3 and 4milers so far.

It's a bit quiet round here at the moment! I'm not posting because I am not running :o Can't find the motivation at the moment but it will come back, it always does :D Well done on your longest run this year tirlittan, I think my longest this year is 3 miles :o (I know I can do better than that, I am just being lazy!) and that is a great time to run four miles sparkles :) Have caught a sickness bug from my nieces and am feeling very delicate at the moment however I will keep telling myself I need to go on a run when I am better and then, hopefully, I will actually do it. Failing that I will come on here and announce I am going on a run as that always makes me do it (perhaps I should just do that every day/other day to make sure I go!)

Anyway, enough waffling, hopefully I will hear all about all of your lovely running soon! x

It has been quiet indeed. The weather has definitely been affecting my motivation recently. I don't mind running in the rain but it's hard to go out when it's pouring it down! Need to get more consistent though, want to do 3/4 runs a week, 5months still to go though so should be fine.
