Went out for a run tonight - very stiff and achy legs for some reason - maybe the antibiotics causing this - probably shouldn't have run the 6 miles but did and will have tomorrow off and see if I feel better on Fri or Sat to go back out again

  • That's brilliant fedupandskint :)

I am going to do my 8 miles today if it kills me! Going on my hols tomorrow so no chance of a run, setting off at 4 in the afternoon with 8 hours travel and will spend the day doing last minute bits and bobs (sorting the dog etc). I'm planning on taking my running gear and lappy, so will be able to update you on my terrible performance in the hot weather :o already googled the place and got a couple of loops sorted so I don't stray to far from 'home' :p

  • Did 4 miles yesterday  I will get back up to 8 miles, I don't know why my body doesn't seem to want to play at the moment! Off on my holibobs now but I've got new running gear to encourage me to get out there and 'just do it' !

    Happy running :p

Went for a run this morning - 6 miles again this time on 14 minute intervals with 1 minute recovery interval. 3rd interval was hard going, managed to hang on to the end.

Might try a 3 mile run and kick my heels up a bit more tomorrow instead of dragging them like I did for a bit today!

    Just me out running then?

Another 6 miler tonight - hard going as I tried to run the 10min uphill section better than usual. Did it but can feel it in my legs now. Maybe a bit stiff in the morning but pleased I worked hard tonight

Next one is Wed - for the final 14min interval run before I move onto the 25min intervals

Ran today instead of yesterday. Was v.warm out there and felt that! Also don't think I had enough food today to fuel it as felt a bit weak 3/4 way round. Anyway did it and ran hard again on the uphill section then paid for it later on!

Have finished the 14min intervals and the next run is the 25min intervals x 2 before the big non stop run - eek!

Out for a very enjoyable 6mile run this morning. Got the intervals mixed up and todays was the correct one of 3 x 19min intervals with 3 x 1 minute recovery intervals. I hope the other ones are as enjoyable and am awaiting a new pair of trainers to arrive as I can tell mine have had it!

I'm back from my hols :) Ok, so I admit, no running for me while I was away. I took my kit, some loops and maps etc but, you know how it is, things like laying on a sun bed and bobbing around on a lilo in the sea get in the way :o I did do some swimming as in as exercise, not r&r ;) 2 x 50 lengths and 2 x 60 lengths. Not great, but at least I did something...I'm a bit wary about getting back into running, but will see how i get on tomorrow...today I have a OU assignment to finish

    Welcome back LittleMiss!

I am still progressing through my intervals and have just completed my last 3x 19 min intervals before I say hello to my next lot which are 2 x 25 min intervals.

Todays run was 6 miles - went well overall. Bit tired halfway through then sprinted the last minute. How I wish I could run like that all the time - strong and fast!
