I have just bought a house that's been on the market for three years...average selling time here is 367 days,,have a look to see what your area is
http://www.home.co.uk/It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
There doesn't seem to be much/any parking ... and that little lane looks like it might be a bit iffy at night. If a neighbour got 2-3 cars it could be a problem. I think lack of obvious parking is something that will stop a lot of people even asking an EA about it.0

What's that behind your house? You have a dinky garden and something 'industrial' beyond that....
There's another house within 1/2 a mile that has off road parking and a proper back garden for £105k ... and they've not sold theirs yet either.0 -
Do you have subsidence? I thought the photo looked wonky from the front, just been round the back in google streetview and there's something really odd going on with your top bedroom window. (I am assuming yours is the middle one here).0

And why's that nutter of a neighbour flying a Union Jack? Is that always there? Could be trouble ....0

the pictures are poor. why is the picture from about 100 metres away? and is tha tpylonwires i see in on epicture which jut shows some grass, some people are funny about pylons. The internal pics need to be taken when the house has all personal things and clutter removed. dont out too many pics on maybe kitchen one other room and the bathroom. no point viewing at the moment as the pictures show you everythingi buy houses ........... any condition.0

Hi Searching on your postcode there's some 3 bedders under your selling price (some a lot under, repo's i'd guess)
to be honest the bathroom doesn't do it for me.
The photos don't look that great
trying to sell it above 2007 price will be difficult IMHO good luck anyway0 -
Jesus .... you have a HUUUUGE Electricity Pylon that looks like it's right over your house.... it must be ... what ... 20' from you?
That'll be a big issue for loads of people too.

This is the thing, if people actually ASKED then I could answer and therefore promote the house- there are only 3 houses down our road and teh other two have been occupied for over 15 years hence why they don't show on the bought prices. They both have drives so however many cars they have it doesn't effect us. We have the rights to park in an area 100 yards from the house and own the rights/deeds to this. It isn't industrial behind us, it's a nature reserve. We are not near council houses. The other 3 beds in the area for a similar price are in a much less desirable area in the middle of a council estate.
I do know that the lack of drive way and garden will hold this house back but there are positives that come with it too- having a porch/utility room, having 3 beds not just 2 etc.0 -
yes the pylon is near our house, however, another house has just sold which has that same pylon in their back yard! The thing is with this village is that every house is near a pylon it's just something that comes with the area and so local people living here will be used to it.0
