Thats been on Aria for a while now.
LOOKS really good, but its a shame you can;t actually view it in a shop.

Hi everyone.
I've had my technosonic LCD for a few days now. I have noticed that when on standby it makes a quiet high pitched noise. I think it could be the power supply transformer possibly, because you cannot switch this tv completely off without turning it off at the wall socket so it is always in standby.
This is my 1st LCD, could someone else with this TV listen for a high pitched sound when its in standby, need to know if mine is faulty or not, thanks in advance!
(ps. any questions about the set, just ask. Picture is excellent, a universal mounting bracket works fine (NOT vesa standard), use sky remote code 0771 for all buttons to work fine, and philips hd upscaling dvd player through hdmi is excellent!)0 -
Can someone please post the actual technical spec of the tv..
Contrast (e.g 800) - This will give an idea on the quality as the higher the better
Brightness (e.g 500:1)
Actual viewable screen size
These details help to compare it to other models and are an important factor when choosing a LCD tv.0 -
Brightness 550 Cd/m2
Contrast 900:10 -
hi b64lewis,
Mine doesnt make a high pitched sound in standby!
Cant you turn it off using the button on the lower ride side next to the volume etc?
Im still enjoying this TV !!!
I hope the fullfill all the online orders for the rest of the guys waiting tho.0 -
I bought one of these online the first saturday they became available as a birthday present for my son.
As with others I had to wait a couple of days for security checks however these went through no problems. As the site had "processing" for a number of days I e-mailed a query they replied the next day to inform me that the TV had already been delivered to the shop even stating the details of the person who signed for the item.
Called and collected fitted to Wall using universal wall bracket for the price an excellent TV both for Freeview , DVD and XBOX 360. As with all TV's I am sure some will be faulty howeveer this is to be expected.
Below are links to the pre badged Thomson and a suitable wall bracket for under £40.

I would have no problems in recommending this for the price.0 -
I ordered this TV last Sat(30th) around 10am. I had to go through the security check but it was straight forward enough. The status on monday changed a few times and eventually said 'Ready to Dispatch' on the monday night. I thought cool should deffo reach me by the estimated delivery date of Thurs 5th.
On the 3rd they took the money from my account but the status remained on Ready to dispatch. Thursday came and the status had changed back to the first stage of 'Processing' i was furious especially since they had taken my money. I used to the online message system and complained and stating a few demands etc the sales advisers kept coming back with arguments, all of which I questioned. Anyway after numerous complaints and demands I got a phone call on friday saying the item was ready to collect from the store. So i picked it up this moring (Sat) and all is good and the TV is impressive so far.
Any ideas on the wall mount would be best? I know ppl have asked about it but havent seen and positive responses. Links to them would be appreciated. ( ahh ignore some 1 just posted above)

The info I have is that we originally placed an order of 5000 to see us through to christmas but due to overwhelming demand we sold out in the first weekend.
We now have another 5000 on order, which have all been presold and should be on there way to our DC between this weekend and next, so if you ordered it last week then it should be on that shipment.
Presold?....how do you get your name on the list then....the website still shows out of stock.....so how do they take orders as presold....or is this the people who have already signed up and paid...in which case....how do we know when the next lot is due in....so we can join the presold list for that lot...lolI'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j
Those who can do, those who can't, come to me for lessons:cool:0 -
