Saw a demo model in Woolies today, it looked cheap. The Technosonic sticker looked like it had been thrown onto it.
I know its not a bad spec but it at least should look the part. They were playing a dvd onto it and the picture looked average to me.
I'm not sure what quality the dvd player was though as that was hidden from view.0 -
Has anyone put their pc/laptop through it yet?
What does it look like?
Does it connect easily?
Sorry if this has been asked before, didn't see it as I scanned through.
Edit: when I say through it I mean used it as a monitorBlitzkreig Bob says Hi to those checking his validity!0 -

They only ever hook it up via SCART, usually to one of the dodgy cheap DVD players they sell, and probnably don't even set that to output RGB - these are non-technically trained staff, so we must cut them some slack.
However, if they stocked an HDMI capable DVD player and hooked that up instead, it'd look miles better, and they'd sell shedloads more. Or an XBox come to think of it, which they do stock...0 -

thats the prob we dont yet stock hdmi (coming soon) and we cant use an xbox becuase it cant be reboxed at the end of it - some stores do (i know i did) but i sold my display tv within a week so i now cant resell the xbox its a shame we arent given hd boxes - even argos have them to show off the best tvs0 -
When are we going to get the TV we ordered?0

Some of these shops even use an rf loop to demo the picture....mad I know! Thats why the one down the end looks so bad!0 -
I fired off a disgruntled message via my woolies online account and asked them to stop fannying about and provide me with a realistic delivery date (as opposed to 02 oct 2007) and the reply told me 16 nov.
Whilst this date may, of course, be store specific, they do know expected delivery dates and are just displaying the 2007 date to keep us all in suspense! It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

thing is though, they don't all come with the same colour settings do they?
So until you get a chance to fiddle around....It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
