  • I've decided I should post my daily menu, just incase I'm making any mistakes!! So today I've had:

Spaghetti hoops on 2 x toasted wholemeal 400g loaf (HEB)
    Shape zero yog
Laughing cow extra light cheese triangle (1 syn)
    Baked potato
Huuuuge fruit salad (strawbs/apple/clementine/kiwi/red grapes) with Aldi fat-free vanilla yog (2 syns!!)
Go Ahead Forest Fruits yog bar (3+1/2 syns!!)
SW Quiche (28g cheddar-HEA), chips (oil-1 syn) & baked beans

I made the quiche using 56g of cheddar & had just under half so I'm classing my 28g ish (should be just under that) worth of cheese as my HEA, hopefully that's ok.

So my syns are up to 7+1/2 so far, will add another 4 to that figure when I've had my 35ml gin with slimline tonic tonight ;)

Not really stuffed with veg, I used one red onion & a big handful of mixed peppers. I'd have liked to have used more veg but hubby is a fussy beggar & hardly likes any veg, he drives me mad

I think next time I'll make 2 separate quiches, a nice veggie-laden one for me & a pipsqueak veggie one for him. I just wanted to test him with this quiche as it's got cottage cheese in & he doesn't like that either, so made it with veg I know he will eat *sigh*
  • Actually just wondering if I should have had something like peas & sweetcorn instead of the baked beans, I think that would have been better

honey i dont think peas and corn are superfree either - perhaps give hubby beans with his and you have salad with your bit ? but still only make the one quiche ?

also no superfree on your brekkie .....if it was me id just have the one slice of toast and hoops then have a piece of fruit with it

could you taste the cottage cheese babe cos i dont like it either so havent made it !!

have had a yummy dinner - garlic and chilli chicken strips in pitta bread with salad and minty yoghurt dressing served with fahjita spiced potato wedges and a veggie cous cous am stuffed to bits !!!

making a chicken and mushroom lasange for dinner tomorrow - just really fancy it !!

Why do they do this???????????? I just found out that I can have pitta bread HE and now I can't. They did the same thing with the low cal bitter cranberry drink - just waited for me to become addicted, then took it off the shelves. And they have stopped stocking ryvita minis. I am going to boycott asda!!!!

thx for the advice the other day btw xx

You are welcome - just wish I could wave a magic wand

  • Oooh nooo, I've just double-checked the syns for the Go Ahead yog bar & it's 3+1/2 syns per slice & I ate both slices cos I thought it was per twinpack :o

So that's me up to 11 syns now. That's the most daily syns I've had this week :( Still gonna have the G&T though which will take me up to the 15 :D
  • Oh dear, I'm not doing very well with this superfree veg either, didn't realise peas & sweetcorn not on the list, must do my homework!! :o

The quiche was gorgeous, definitely recommended & dead easy to make. No taste or sign of cottage cheese anywhere :D
