Well done to those who deserve it, chin up and hugs to those struggling and a good kick up the bum to those needing one of those!!!. Happy to report that operation 'Damage limitation' was reasonably successful for me, following the curious incident of The Rocky Horror I managed to STS this week. Hmmmm, quite pleased with that actually. I've been shopping today and, as the schools are on holiday now and my routine is going to be non existent, am hoping to improve my meal planning, I even took a shopping list with me, Shock horror..............couldn't get quark tho, apparently our Asda doesn't do iy any more. When Life Throws You Lemons Make Lemonade0

Well done you! I love the salad bar at harvester and apart from the puddings , you can make some good SW choices, good prices and the atmosphere at the one we go to is really friendly too. The free refills of Diet Pepsi are good value too. When Life Throws You Lemons Make Lemonade0 -

227g / 8oz canned chick peas, drained
1 egg beaten
½ tsp baking powder (½ syn per teaspoon)
2 tsp dried Bombay mixed spice
1 tsp dried mixed herbs
Salt & ground black pepper
To make the bhajis spray a non-stick frying pan with Fry Light and cook the onion for approximately 5 minutes until tender. Transfer to a bowl, add the potato and chick peas and mash together. Stir in the remaining ingredients and form into small balls and flatten slightly.
Arrange the bhajis on a baking tray that has been sprayed with Fry Light. Bake in a preheated oven at 220C/425F/Gas Mark 7 for approximately 15 minutes until golden. Serve immediately with the cucumber raita.

I invented a new meal tonight, layed a load of fish on the bottom of a small casserole dish, then a layer of tinned mushy peas, then a layer of grated carrot, then a layer of cooked boiled duck egg, then a layer or quark and then sprinkling of parmesan. Sounds weird but basically it was a fish pie and it wa yummyGod is good, all the time

Hey everyone, really sorry I didn't post yesterday - busy day!
Another great day for me. Had three lovely meals:
Breakfast - 2 weetabix with 350ml skimmed milk (HEA + HEB), a large fruit salad containing apple, pineapple and strawberries.
Mid morning - 1/2 can baked beans on one thick slive brown bread (4 syns)
Lunch - jacket potato with tuna (mixed with 1 tbsp light mayo - 2 syns) and 1 tbsp Quark. 1 peach, 1 nectarine, 1 apple, 1 plum.
Dinner - 2 eggs fried in Fry Light with lean bacon and the rest of the can of baked beans, and homemade baked chips using Fry Light. A banana, more strawberries, nectarine and plum.
I also did around 40 minutes weightlifting, involving some heavy squats and lunges to ensure cardio as well as resistance.
It still feels bizarre that I had egg, chips, bacon and beans for tea...
Thanks for all the words of encouragement everyone! I've decided to use my Syns in a healthy way rather than crisps and chocolate. More for my conscience than anything...Whatever doesn't kill me, can only make me stronger.
