Yes I'd rather it came off a bit more evenly.. I seem to have a good loss then put on the following week. I take 2 steps forward then 1 back. I have to keep telling myself that it is going down and that is the main thing. .

Yep, that's me too. I might go a few weeks losing the odd 0.5lb or 1lb, then I look at some naughty food the wrong way and bingo... that's 2lb on overnight (well that's how it feels anyway).

I don't think it helps that I'm only half a stone away from my target (well, if I was really determined I guess that should be a stone), either way, it seems that the closer you get, the harder it is!

oh dear, possible flexi-syn day today. just munched an egg salad with a humungous pile of cheese on top from work. wondering if i should change my e/e day to a red or greeny, use my 2 x he A for cheese and add some syns to stay on the safe side. the annoying thing is, i'm still hungry!!! x

mmmmm well depends really what your plans are for the evening?

If you were planning say a night at the pub with a glass or 2 of wine id def go on a flexible day from now.....work out exactly what your intending to allow yourself to go to syn wise (include the cheese you just had) then just fill up the rest of time on free food dont beat yourself up though that youve had the exra syns today! get straight back to it tomoro tho ;)

or if your just at home and not bothered about a drink or any more treats, just syn your extra cheese and get on a green day as theyr filling and cheap and quick :)

onion bhajis makes 12 1 syn each

    200g/7oz onions, peeled, halved
    and thinly sliced

    50g/2oz gram flour

    1tsp lemon juice

    2 tsp ground cumin

    1 tbsp coriander seeds crushed

1 tsp deseeded and chopped fresh green chilli *ive used dried chilli flakes and its worked just as well when ive not had any fresh.

    1 tbsp freshly chopped coriander

    1/4 tsp Baking powder

    Salt to taste

    Fry light

place all the ingredients in a bowl and a few table spoons of water to form a thick batter that coats the onion. leave to rest for 15 minutes, this softens slightly the onion and marinades.

(This is the messy bit:eek:) using your fingers mix again to combine thoroughly.

preheat the oven to 220/ gas 7 line a baking sheet with baking paper and using your fingers or a dessert spoon drop 12 small mounds of mixture onto the sheet. spray with fry light and bake for 15-20 mins until golden.

remove and serve immediately sprinkled with paprika and a nice yoghurt and mint dip :D nom nom nom
I make these too an dthey are yum! My OH always requests them when we have a curry. He is trying to get me to make the other thingys which are on the SW site (I always forget their name :p) samosas? pakoras? I get them mixed up...

    Hello everyone!! :)

Well done to all those who have reported a loss :T

I have been really good all week and have 40 syns saved for the weekend. I am in need of some vino tonight though so that's where they will probably go!

    Food today has been..

    b - nothing
l - rasberries, cherries and FF yogurt
t - gammon, sw pot wedges & salad
and of course the wine that i will use syns for.

I had some bad news this morning so have no appetite, really had to force myself to eat lunch, hopefully it will be back for the gammon later as I know that skipping meals will do me no good.

Thanks everyone for the nicpic suggestions, will definitely have to try Joes sausages when i am a little more flush and HM scotch eggs sound mmmmm. So far I have planned on taking roasted veg cous cous, salad, spiced chicken drumsticks and maybe fruit for after.

P.s I have another onion bhaji recipe that I use and is free on EE if anyone is interested? Not sure if it is as good as the SW one as I haven't tried them, i am too mean with my syns!!
  • Should I admit to having some potatoes boiling away atm so that I can sample the mash suggestions, just to make sure they're ok, you understand??:rotfl:

I've had my lunch but I'm a bit hungry still, only had half a tin of tuna as a free food (the rest was superfree salady stuff) so I think that's probably why I'm peckish *excuses, excuses*
