Had our Harvester meal last night, I opted for the mixed grill and, as they were out of Jacket Potatoes, I chose mash instead. I gave away my sausage and onion rings, only ate half the mash and stuck to diet Pepsi :A. Angelic or what? Unfortunately I was then forced, yes forced to have 'Rocky Horror' for my pud
Well done - i went out last night thinking i would be good - but i had 'sticky' chicken (honey & mustard) with herby diced potatoes (fried!), corn on cob & brocolli from Old Orleans & then went to the cinema to watch Toy Story 3 in 3D and promptly stuffed a whole big bag of mars planets! Whoops
I had even planned to be so good by cooking quorn sausages & pieces for nibbles (ate those aswell!) and the small boxes of mini smarties! (3.5syns each) which i didn't eat!
O well - another day today - not too bad yet!
Brekkie - coffee!
Lunch - Cheesy Mug shot (2)
Snack - Quorn roast chicken style fillets (0.5) - Strawberries & Muller
Tea - prob jacket with mushy pea curry
Prob have hifi bar & ryvita minis for hebs or scan bran with quark/ff cottage cheese
Drinks - coffee with milk (hea) & water
Not hungry at the moment (might change later!)
Saw the cocktail menu list for saturday night - looks extremely synful - but it is my hen do - i will do what i want! :rotfl:0 -
theres an internet site called JOES SAUSAGES all his stuff is slimming world friendly and the sausages are syn free....theres loads of different ones (like pork+apple pork+chilli ) also burgers and barbecue type meats and kebabs. our consultant told us about it and we ordered and its all really really nice. only down side is you have to order a minimum of 8 packs I think.....but they are fresh and can be frozen......well worth having a look. they also do syn free sausage meat for recipes. Theyre better than any of the low syn sausages by far
Joes Sausages are not very MSE though!
Which ones did you try? And what ones do you reccommend?0 -

Consultant31, does this mean my mushy pea curry made with 3 tins of mushy pease & 1 tin of baked beans with sweetener & onions has enough free veg without adding anymore to my plate except rice?
Not for the EE plan - the veg are meant to be superfree (ie free on both plans). Thie curry would be free on the Green plan as both peas and beans are free on this plan.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
Hmmm, these sound good. Except liver and bacon, bleurgh
Would quark work instead of cottage cheese? Maybe make it a bit richer tasting though still free? Esp like the sound of smoked salmon pate at the moment as I am currently embarked on a fish week experiment!
Yes, I reckon Quark would work just as well.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
zzzLazyDaisy wrote: »Thanks so much for these - for some reason I get cravings for pate/dip type foods. I'll defo give these recipes a go :-)
Could you give us the syn values please?
I've edited the post to show syn values - or rather to show which plans they are syn free onI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Thing the reference to the sausages not being "mse" is that they are pretty expensive. Saying ythat good sausages tend to be, ( 97% meat etc) Although Joes are more expensive than the ones I buy in Waitrose. Blimming good for syn free, even Linda Mccartney cant manage that! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
