    Hiya

Can I join in again please?? Everything seems to have calmed down now since our wedding.:D Back on track and back to the weight I was just before the wedding.

Got WI tonight - have really struggled this week as I had a minor op and wanted to comfort eat:(; but somehow (not sure how!); I've managed to stay on track. Will have to wait and see what the scales say tonight.

Betty - turkey curry sounds amazing!

    Helloooo!!

Just wanted to drop by to post my food diary for today...

    B - Shape 0 yog & apple
L - Prawn pasta salad with cherry toms, cuc, celery, peppers spring onion XLmayo (1.5 syns) Cherries, strawbs & rasberries
T - HM Fishcakes with salad (5 syns for breadcrumbs - will be making them without in future!)
Syns/Snacks - Fruit, FIbre Plus bar (HEb)

I also miss crunchy savoury food - it's one of my favourite food groups! Carrot sticks just don't seem to cure the cravings

I am going to a local wildlife park at weekend and wanted to take a nicpic, anyone got any good (preferably free or low syn) picnic food ideas? I'm doing EE

normal ryvita is 3 for a HEB, the thin ones (crispbread i think but the silly names confuse me!) are 6 for HEB

original/dark rye/sesame ryvita is 4 for HEB - you had me worried there, I've been having 4 for HEB everyday since February!! :p

I made some scotch eggs the other day and they went down really really well. Just some peeled, cooled boiled eggs, split some sausages and remove the skin, wrap the sausage meat around the egg and roll in crushed scan bran/breadcrumbs/crushed cornflakes! and bake in the oven. Quite low syns depending on the sausages and really yummy.

I also think that pasta salads or rice salads are yummy and quite filling.

dizzy, it was you that said about the fishpie, thanks again :D

I'm loving the sound of those lasagne sheet 'doritos', might try that as an odd treat sometime.

Thanks lynz & betty, I thought the cous cous would probably be ok because you can buy it chilled in supermarkets, but thought I'd better check if anyone had tried it & lived to tell the tale ;)

No Probs ;) hope your pie turns out nice.....I dont have probs with it usually. the dorito things are lovely....but dont go crazy on them....for obvious reasons, but I cant see why as an odd treat or with some other veggie sticks and dip they cant be enjoyed pretty freely....if a consultant gave the recipe its good enough for me lol :D

theres an internet site called JOES SAUSAGES all his stuff is slimming world friendly and the sausages are syn free....theres loads of different ones (like pork+apple pork+chilli ) also burgers and barbecue type meats and kebabs. our consultant told us about it and we ordered and its all really really nice. only down side is you have to order a minimum of 8 packs I think.....but they are fresh and can be frozen......well worth having a look. they also do syn free sausage meat for recipes. Theyre better than any of the low syn sausages by far
