for the crunchy cravings have you tried cooking some lasagne sheets then spraying a little fry light, sprinkle with something like garlic salt and paprika...then use a knife or pizza cutter and cut into triangles then bake in the oven til they go crispy.....theyre like doritos, you can make a free dip with from frais and garlic or whatever takes your fancy and its a nice little syn free treat for when you feel the urge
my oh loves em

BettyB, for the crunch factor I add a small sprinkling (under one teaspoonful) of something called Dukkah from Sainsbury's Be Good To Yourself. it's ground roasted chickpeas with spices and is supposed to be added to curries I think. I put it into a breakfast of fresh fruit and yoghurt and the crunchy chickpeas plus the spices give it some oooomph.:jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j
thank you Slimming World!

Sorry Dizzy, these need to be synned. I raised this in the old thread as I wanted to make nachos out of them, the unanimous was that they need to be synned as a "misuse of free foods"0

Mrs M your meals looked lovely by the way - I am definately a big fan of arranging the food nicely. It's all about eating with your eyes!
Going to try to make the tuna pate soon, thanks!Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....

:rotfl:
LMAO :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: well I say heres your only real solution to the dilemma then ........ nominate yourself as driver drink diet coke go flexible have the mixed grill AND HAVE THE PUDDING cos we dont want any fighting lol:D
Had our Harvester meal last night, I opted for the mixed grill and, as they were out of Jacket Potatoes, I chose mash instead. I gave away my sausage and onion rings, only ate half the mash and stuck to diet Pepsi :A. Angelic or what? Unfortunately I was then forced, yes forced to have 'Rocky Horror' for my pud
So I'm into damage limitation mode today, fruit and ff activia for brekkie, drinking gallons of sf squash (hoping it'll wash everything through my system) Chicken drumsticks and salad for lunch. Scrambled eggs and tinned toms on toast for dinner tonight. WI tomorrow night so if I can maintain I'll be satisfied. When Life Throws You Lemons Make Lemonade0 -
OH brought home a takeaway last night, so that was the healthy turkey curry out the window! (or still in the fridge for tonight, actually!) As a reuslt of all this week's slip ups (getting stressed, TOTM, eating toast and crap all day) I have seen a small gain, which sucks but I know I can sort it out if I get my head back into SW. I slipped quite early into the plan which I guess is one of the risks of not going to the classes.
Don't beat yourself up over it, Hubbys/Partners seem to be quite good at sabotaging SW plans, sometimes deliberately, sometimes accidently. As lond as you are doing what you should be, foodwise, 90% of the time you will lose, obviously 100% of the time would be better but hey we've all gotta have a life. Keep smiling. When Life Throws You Lemons Make Lemonade0 -

:A check out your halo !!!! I did watch the news at 10 to see if the riot squad had been called to any Harvester pubs at all lol.
well I'd say you did pretty good there....I would have struggled giving the onion rings away for sure. If you do what you say today and try not to have many syns you'll probably be ok...maybe even a loss??
Bettyb my oh is always sabotaging my efforts... but in his eyes he is only trying to help (usually when im snarly with pmt and he is happily chomping on family size bars of cadbury caramel, he convinces me it will make me better....or the latest is he makes tea while I go to WI but puts butter in the mash....knowing I wont turn it down (his mash is lush but I gain a pound everytime I eat it )0 -
Sigh my OH is the same, but I know he is happier now im slimmer
Its not wholly his fault because Ive always liked things that way. Ie he brings me a bar of chocolate home as a present. He seems to be stopping this now.
The other day I felt ropey and sicky, he cooked, so he made roasted veg with oil instead of frylite. () As it was I was fast asleep by the time it was made so I didnt have to say anything or eat it
If your reading this love  that pot of double cream in the fridge isn't helping :rotfl::beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
haha good to know my OH isn't the only ones whose 'treats' aren't good for the waistline!
Just making my turkey curry now. Oh my goodness it smells lovely. It's not so curry now more a morrocan tagine type thing, with tomatoes and cinnamon and oads of cumin and coriander. Going to have it with couscous rather than rice.
Is Ainsley Harriot spice sensation cous cous free?
I'm also going to have salad and consultant31's hummous! YUM! Shame I can't get as enthusiastic about work as I can about cooking!Betty B: The Eternal Procrastinator....
