Has anyone else noticed an improvement in cellulite since doing SW? See I'm confused as to whether these changes are diet related or age related, but my jodphur thighs suddenly seem to have vanished. Even when I weighed 8 st I still had thighs with a life of their own, but now I'm almost tempted to try getting into a pencil skirt

I have definately noticed a major difference in my cellulite, ie its almost gone!

I thought that it was down to either a) smoking b) drinking tea/ caffiene drinks ie diet coke c) not drinking enough water or a combination of all three.

However all these issues have pervaded on, but cellulite almost almost gone :)

Get yourself a pencil skirt hun. I have a great one- it was only from asda SO flattering. Or it was until it got too big! On the lookout for a new one so if anyone sees any ( just plain, black, preferably a mix that doesnt require ironing :D) do let me know!
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
  • Thanks, Cons and Lynz, for the votes of confidence! I'm going to take heels into town and do a bit of trying on .... :D

Meanwhile, I've done a Mrs M and taken a photo of the blackberry and apple meringue! It's divine, I've eaten a bit. Next time I will cook the meringue a little slower to get it more crispy but it is sooooo light and gorgeous:

    third time lucky, damn photobucket.

Lyns, I'd always blamed caffeine too (or read that caffeine was to blame) but I am probably drinking more coffee than before to ensure I use up my HEA and it's magical to drop my hands to my sides and they just hang there, rather than have to go out an extra 3" on each side! It must be the lack of fat in the diet/lifestyle I think. And to think I had considered liposuction on my thighs :(

Hi all, I've not been around for a while, and there's no way I can read all the posts I've missed (cor, you lot can't half yak).

If anyone asked me anything, apologies for not replying, however, there are some very knowledgeable people on here so I'm sure nobody's floundering.

I wondered if anyone thinks we could do with a new thread - this one's enormous and as I understand, this can slow things down a lot. I'm happy to start one, if everyone agrees :)

To the posters who are new to SW (or renewing an old aquaintance), there's absolutely no need for you to follow the Extra Easy plan if you don't want to. The Original (red) and Green plans are still there for you to choose if you wish. The idea behind EE is that it's the most like 'normal' eating which hopefully takes away a lot of the stress some people find themselves under when having to plan, plan, plan.

Remember, this is NOT a diet, it's a healthy eating plan for life!
Yep Consultant - that's fine by me when you're ready!
  • Evening all  A very full day of eating has been had but actually felt hungry earlier  I think little and often will be better once I get used to it.

So todays red day plan has been:
    Milk (HEA)
    Banana, Strawberries, Mango, Melon, Yoghurt
    Pork, Salad, Yoghurt
    Crisps (6), Banana
    SW quiche, BBQ sauce (1)
    Bolognese, Potato (HEB), Cheese (HEA)
    2 Alpen light (HEB)

Think I may have a fibre plus bar while watching tv which will total 12.5 syns for the day.

Tomorrow may be tricky as going out wedding dress shopping with my niece. Won't get a proper lunch and I don't think it's the done thing to eat a picnic in the bridal stores :p I'll have to ensure I have things planned for when I get home and put some alpens and fruit in the car for in between shops :D Although if this is anything like every other shopping trip I've been on with her, I may feel like eating my own arm after a while to try and get out of it ;):rotfl:

    Merry Christmas
  • Hello all,

You've all inspired me again! I was on here briefly a while ago (a year!) but fell seriously off the wagon...time for take two. I'm doing it on my own based on info from here and from a friend who is a pro, but still have a couple of questions:

    1) Could anyone let me know the syns for Heinz chicken soup please? and Warburtons farmhouse white bread?

    2) Are peas and sweetcorn free foods on both days? I have read conflicting things and I love them so hoping yes but thinking no?

I really want it to work this time as I lost 6lbs in two weeks last time...and then lost motivation!

    Kaffka x
  • Hi Kaffka, welcome back and as you suspect peas and sweetcorn are NOT free on all plans. They are free on green (as before) and on Extra Easy. (sorry!)

    thank you Slimming World!
  • Oh damn. Are they the only veg that are exempt on red days then? Before I make more mistakes?!

Thanks for your quick reply! :)
  • sitting here watching a DVD and keeping an eye on here too, Kaffka! On red, as before, you have to syn any pulses (peas, beans, incl baked beans etc), potatoes (incl sweet potatoes), parsnips - I remember it as "all the p s". If you go to the Slimming World website you can look up a lot of info without signing up, including some sample menus on red, green and Extra Easy. It's worth a look. http://www.slimmingworld.com/
