Any help or/advice would be greatly received as im passed confused with my mess up of a meal plan tomorrow!!!0 -

Green Day: (will update later)
B - 2 eggs fried in frylight on HM WM bread (HEB)
L - jacket potato, cheese (HEA x 2), coleslaw (4 syns), salad
D - pasta bake - pasta n sauce, onions, garlic, sweetcorn, peppers, chilli flakes; cheese (HEB)
Snacks - tesco corn crisps (3.5syns)
Drinks - coffee, fizzy water, NAS squash, water
Total syns = 7.5
Talking of the magazine, is anyone else a little disappointed in this months? I found that there were very few veggie recipes and most of them were old ones.

As far as I'm aware rice has to be synned on a red day, I don't think rice can be a HEB on any of the plans, you could have a Jacket potato with your curry instead of rice and that could be a HEB, not sure on size though, ypu'll need to check your book/online for that. Hope that helps. When Life Throws You Lemons Make Lemonade0 -

I think this would fall into the 'misuse of food' category, they are ok to have (count as free on green) as an occasional treat but eaten in large amounts or regularly could affect your weightloss. Sorry to disappoint you. When Life Throws You Lemons Make Lemonade0 -
Hi everyone - great to read everyones meal plans and the recipes.
I have had another 'aha moment' day.... I AM learning, but as I go!
I tried the carbonara recipe in this months magazine - absolutely lovely although I used pancetta (it was in the fridge) instead of ham, and syned it later (spot the deliberate mistake), and rather than free, it is 16 syns for the 130g pack that I used! I also had made it before I realised it served 4 - I only did spag for 2, so we had a marvellously rich sauce that was yummy - and probably just as nice with syn free ham or bacon! It was 8 syns each but worth it i think.
That means I have nothing to play with but after that I'm actually really full!

If your breakfast contained a third of a plate of mushrooms and tomatoes along with any bacon, beans etc, it could easily be counted as an Extra Easy meal.
Since you used Quorn (free on all plans) instead of meat for your curry you can have rice with it as a free food on Green or EE but not as a HEB on Red as it doesn't contain enough fibre.
In effect, depending how much superfree food you've managed to incorporate into your meals, this would probably be better counted as an EE day.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
