  • I too think that is too long between meals (blimey, I think five minutes is too long between meals :D) - a lady at our class eats her last meal at 5pm then gets the nibbles later on; honestly I've never heard anyone say there should be only three meals in a day, neither on or off SW.

I eat breakfast at 6.00-6.30 am-ish; then a couple of pieces of fruit and loads of coffee between 8.00 and midday at work; then lunch at midday; more fruit and/or a bag of Velvet Crunch in the afternoon, evening meal at around 6.00-6.30pm; more fruit in the evening and a frozen yog as my special treat at about 10.00 pm for supper! Find a gap in there where more food can be squeezed in and I'll do it!:rotfl:

Having said that, I have stayed the same weight for three weeks BUT effectively I am at my target having lost 2 stone; somehow an extra half pound had been added to my target so now that's been knocked off and I am AT TARGET woooohooo! :D

that reminds me I only had half a heb today; time for another alpen light I think just to keep things flowing :p
    :jThat's 2 stone 9 lbs gone forever:j

    thank you Slimming World!

    Thanks for the comments ladies.

I usually eat dinner around 9 pm as that is when I have time to sit down to it. I get home anytime between 4 and 6 most nights. My DS has cerebral palsy and I have stuff which has to be done for him every evening. This means it's usually 8 o'clock before dinner goes on. I've tried eating when I get in before starting his activities, but then I'm starving hungry again by 8, which makes it a long evening and opens me to temptation! I'm going to have to plan a bit better this week. It should be easier now school is restarting as I won't have his physio to do. He will get a proper session at school each day which will free up some time early evening.

I'll give it a try this week and see if it makes a difference.

    Hello all,

I have been a bit of a lurker on this board for some time and I did try doing the plan on my own a few months back but didn't really get anywhere so yesterday i finally bit the bullet and went to group. I have to say it was great and the consultant is really nice. I weighed 17 st 31/2lbs and I have set my target at 11 st so thats alot to lose. It was my 30th birthday yesterday as well and I am determined to change my life and hit that target before I turn 31. I hope that with the group support and support on here I can achieve this. I look forward to getting to know you all.

Ah right, it must be hard for you to find free time then. My only suggestion would be have something quick and easy as soon as you get in, maybe a large ready prepared fruit salad with FF yoghurt over, or if on green you could make some couscous and heat some beans(or leftover quorn curry or something) in the micro, takes as long to prepare as making a cuppa...that way you will be satisfied whilst you are busy with your son and won't be tempted to grab an unhealthy snack either during/after his activities.

  • Kitty - Could you have a small easy meal when you get in and then a small dinner in the evening? I finish work at 4.30 and am home by 4.35! I'm doing coursework at moment in evenings so I sometimes have a small jacket spud (with beans/cheese/chilli etc) to tide me over til dinnertime, but have a smaller portion for dinner then. 7mins in microwave whilst I'm unpacking my work stuff and getting changed, and it's done. I find it works for me.

  • Welcome Eveie! If you break down your weight loss into half stones or "getting to the next number down" (like going into the 16 st range) and give yourself a promise of a little treat each time it doesn't seem like such a lot to lose :)
