Right as a way to keep me on the straight and narrow I have just ordered the 'SW world of flavours book', hopefully more variety and meal ideas will help to keep me motivated.
I have a little question for you lovely people, whats your favourite SW recipe book? Think I may order another but not sure which is best, don't go to classes so not able to have a flick through. I mainly do EE so not much point in me buying red or green ones.
    Thanks :)

ooohhh that is my fave SW cookbook out of all those I have :j...
You MUST try the coq au vin -oohh and the hot pot, oooh and the stifado -ooo and the buffalo chicken nomnomnom :rotfl:

Feeling very off colour today [can't keep off loo] sorry tmi. Hoping its because Hubby started work today, so not had much sleep either [none of us did] he got up at 5am & I couldn't sleep after that :(. I go back to work on Thursday too so bit stressed about that too. Am feeling a bit hungry but tummy hurts too much to eat, don't fancy anything either. Will post food diary later when I've had something to eat.
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Just back from My Hosp appt about my hearing aids. I cant have the BAHA (cochlear implant) as the last lot of brain surgery I Had has removed ALL the working parts of my inner ear aswell , and the implant needs the labyrinth bones to transmit sounds to cry.gif

SO its going to have to be a double hearing aid.... one on my half ok ear and one on my now dead ear-that will send the sound accross to the half ok ear (but with a hearing aid in it it will be a good ear) and the theory is that It will be as If ive still got 2 hearing ears if they can get the settings correct confused.gif confusing! .......Hopefully though this in turn will make things easier when Im near traffic and sudden head turns setting the vertigo falls off. Im still gutted tho as prior to the op my other ear was pretty much ok......bummer eh sigh.gif Might change my name on here to BIONIC WOMAN:o

My consultant is ordering that for me and she let me take her copy home this week for a wee nosey, loving the recipes already, can't wait to get some ingredients.

Aww dizzy, that is a shame that they had to remove your inner ear, was that to get to your brain? My dd wears hearing aids, hope they get it all sorted for you.

Takeiteazy: You better take it easy, hope you feel better soon.

Lisa: Hope that cough gets better soon, take care of yourself.

happybunny, well done for getting back on the plan after all those celebrations.

    .

I had a tumour (it had regrown from 3 years ago) but part of it was around the auditory nerve so they removed everything :o thats the reason Im struggling now with regaining my balance and have vertigo. x

Thanks Mrs M, I can't wait for the book to come now then I can try new things I love Beef Stifado!!. I absoultely love reading recipe books, the problem is its a nightmare for SW. Got the Nadia Sawalha one which is middle eastern food, all amazing looking scrummy food but not many recipes that I could even try and make SW friendly, and don't even get me started on the Nigella Christmas book
I am trying to decide if the Curry Heaven book is worth buying and maybe the extra easy one too maybe I should stick to just one for now.....

:grouphug: for dizzy (does anyone else think this looks a bit dodgy or is it just my mind?!) It's meant to be a hug!! x

Awwww Yoemma I know that feeling so well, but now I've been effectively (ie no-one living in) single for 20+ years and it is the BEST. Not that someone as young as you should consider celibacy (neither did I, tbh! ) but do take a little time for yourself - I think one has to love oneself, and be happy with ones own company, before you can expect someone else to love you. I'm sure you're not past it - in fact I am sure the best part is about to begin for you - BIG HUGS!!!
