Ok after tipping the scales this morning with the heaviest I have ever been :o:(  and worried about my health and knowing I need to do something now.

I am about to join SW online but am worried as my current daily mealplan isnt half as much as what the sample menu shows as I am not such a big eater. :)

An example of my current daily meals consists of :

B - Cholesterol lowering yoghurt type drink (Tesco own) sometimes with some fruit (eg banana, small fruit salad mix (ready made tesco grab n go kind)).

L - Sandwich or wrap or pitta bread (with meat n mayo / salad cream or cheese n salad or egg n mayo etc).

D - Usualy a light quick meal or cooked dinner. Occasionaly if busy day will have a readymeal. Once a month I join hubby with a takeaway pizza but usualy 'sort my own out' on a Saturday as I get fed up with shop pizza every week!!!!

Plus I lack motivation to exercise (which I am certain is my downfal along with the munchies crazy comfort eating).

But with the friendlieness and support from this thread so far I am going for it today with the start of a new week tomorrow and a new month to follow. Thanks for the inspiration I hope I dont let myself or everybody down ;)
You won't let us down! I think the sample menu is trying to make the point that you can eat masses, but it has to be the right things. Also, it stops your metabolism going into starvation mode (sorry, that is my non-technical understanding!).
I LOVE food and LOVE cooking, so SW suits me fine as I can still eat a lot. That sounds awful, but is true for me!
If you look at MrsMcawbers days or dizzyk's or takeiteazy's plans, they all eat lots but are losing/are at target.
Do you like cooking or are you looking for quicker ways to get into it? I do think forward planning is very important. Helps with the money side of things too.
I wish you lots of luck, I am sure you will do well. Even if you have a bad day, keep posting.

For your breakfast - just syn your yog drink they are usually between 1 - 3syns each (the ones i used to drink were 1.5 syns for the danone fat free one) and then have your fruit which is free.

For lunch - Make your bread or pitta one from the HEB list and have your usual fillings - hellmann's extra light mayo is only 0.5 syns per tablespoon. Count your cheese as your HEA.

For dinner - if you are on the go opt for something like a Tesco light choices Spicy Beef pasta ready meal @ 3.5 syns on Green/EE, Tesco light choices chicken dinner with potatoes for 5 syns on Red/EE 8 syns on Green, or Light choices sweet and sour chicken and rice for 4.5 syns on green/ee. I am sure there was a list on here somewhere of low syn ready meals. If you do EE ensure you get all your superfrees by having salad with these or a fruit salad for dessert :)

I didn't exercise until i had been following the plan for 4 months. I still lost weight ok in that time. I started to exercise when i found i had too much energy lol.

Of course for the munchies there are plenty of low syn snacks out there!

    My faves include

Galaxy cookie crumble 6 squares of the big bar = 6.5 syns
Milky way magic stars (tiny treat bag) =3.5 syns
Mikado sticks (in biscuit aisle of supermarket)= 0.5 syns each
Small bags of space raiders =3.5 syns
Kings velvet crunch crisps = 4syns
Coco rocks bars= 4 syns (very chocolaty and yummy!!)
    KitKat/Penguin/Club biscuits = 5.5syns

Please stick around and do not feel like you are letting anyone down!!! You can do it! Even if it takes time! There is no rush where losing weight is concerned IMO :)
All hail to the sale!!!!!!

As I don't have any scan bran can I have a ryveta instead for my breakfast? TBH I don't know what a scan bran is.

Scan bran is like Ryvita just not crunchy - and its got more fibre in it....I really dont like the texture to be honest It tastes lovely (like branflakes) but its like chewing on a big old cardboard box :D :rotfl:

Its supposed to be good for the old...ahem....bowel probs tho with a biiiiig glass of water :p

Im sure someone on here said you can buy scanbran from holland &barrett health food shops?

I got an exercise bike from Freecycle yesterday. I have run quite a bit in the past, I live down a farm track so have run up and down the track (it is about .75 of a mile). It has always dropped off when a) I go back to work and have less time to get out there and b)when the weather gets worse and the track becomes muddy (especially when the farmer harvests sugar beet!). My idea is that I can go on the bike and do intervals when OH is out in the evening (he is in a band so is often gigging on Friday and Saturday evenings) or whenever I get a chance. The kids can be sleeping and me puffing away downstairs.....!

Ooooh lbnblbnb, that is great and has just reminded me that I gave my exercise bike to my li'l brother and sister, as they were setting up a kind of gym in the garage....I don't think they use it anymore so I will get it back:D Not sure where on earth I can put it but I'm sure I can squeeze it in somewhere!!

I have just had the most gorgeous lunch...didn't have the chicken, instead I had chilli pork loin with veggie soup.....the soup was AMAZING, and tbh is the first soup I have made that actually tasted really nice, even dh wanted seconds and insisted I must have copied a recipe:D

    xx

Ive got an exercise bike, almost brand new, it was my dads which he used for his rehab (or physical jerks as we called it :D) last year before he deteriorated again . I havnt used it yet but it's in our spare room and I have rearranged the conservatry to pop it in the corner so I can do cycles (;)) on it whilst watching TV or waiting for the quick wash (1/2 hr) on the washing machine. Dont have kids and dont work due to disability so the day is mine really. I also have a tradmill but thats currently on loan to someone at the moment. :p Must get it back as I suspect their not using it now. :j

So far today I have had -

B - Tesco Cholesterol lowering yog drink

L - Tesco Cesar Salad wrap, packet Walkers Bacon crisps, small carton Tesco value pure apple juice.

and for D -inner we are having Tesco Chichen breast with chips and Colemans curry sauce packet mix (made with water).

If I fancy a snack this evening (starting to think the munchies are actualy habit more than enjoyment) I dont have anything unless I call hubby and ask him to get something on his way home!

I have just worked out that to reach my 10% weightloss target at 2lb a week with no setbacks or slip ups will get me to around 14th October, which co-incidentaly is me and hubbys 10th wedding Anniversary! What an incentive for me as a gift for hubby :kisses2:

Velvet crunch are cassava snacks. They are an alternative to potato. They are made by Kings and have the texture of a thai cracker. They are delish! I get mine from Tesco.

Asda sell a bag of 12 pickled onion space raiders. I can also get them from my local 99p shop.

    Afternoon all

Crisp £ note.. I know you say you don't eat a lot (Im one of the "can eat a lot bunch":rotfl:) but its more a case of choosing carefully -I eat more now (in volume) than I used to, BUT any meal I make is at least 1/2 a plate of veggies/salad etc,

So Im actually consuming less if that makes sense :p plus I never feel hungry so as yet I have done SW 100% -as I don't crave or feel deprived :D
Have you started SW yet? only if so -things like fruit juice will soon add up and I hope you don't hate me for this -but the chicken ceasar wrap is 25.5 syns on all plans :o, so even though you don't eat much volume its a lot in terms of syns etc..Hoe you don't mind me commenting -only trying to help ;) -but tell me to naff off if you like :D

Can't remember (sorry) -who asked this morning -but I started on EE but for the last 10 weeks or so I have done all red days (I can't be trusted with unlimited carbs ;))....
My main exercise has been on the wii and walking round the golf course with hubby -but I joined the gym last week so Im about to step things up a bit....
